General Worth Square is a small park and memorial that sits close to Madison Square Park. It is relatively simple and not a lot to look at.

While everyone is amazed at the many NYC icons and lifestyle please don't forget about it's history. Many wars, disturbances and historical events happened here that shaped what NYC is today. Maybe I am old school, but a little bit of learning along the path is always nice. General Worth dedicated much of his life to the military defending our country and the liberties we all share today. Doesn't that make him worthy of a few moments of our time?

be sure to spend five minutes studying the plaque describing General Worth and a small bit of important NYC history.

This entire area is so filled with interesting sights that this small bit of Manhattan is easy to miss.

Don't.

Stopped by the square last week as we wanted to see the Flatiron building. the square is located next to Madison Park and faces the iconic NY building. The statue of General Worth is also very pretty and in great shape.
