- Jonny HHigh Wycombe, United Kingdom72 contributionsHigh above the clouds….Great experience at the One World Observatory. Views are stunning, lift ride up to the viewing platform is awesome, very interactive. The only downside is the wait for the lift to come down again, little long but doesn’t stop me thinking what a great time we had up in the sky!Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 December 2022
- Amy WoodwardPort Macquarie, Australia29 contributionsUnbelievable until it’s witnessedThis landmark is unmissable when spending time in New York City. The picturesque views from the top floor are stunningly breathtaking. One World Trade Centre was a bucket list experience that will resonate in my memory for many years.Visited February 2023Travelled soloWritten 22 February 2023
- Guide780421 contributionNot toddler friendlyThe views are wonderful, but this was not toddler friendly despite their free admission (mine was full price as I didn’t buy ahead as I wasn’t sure we would be able to time it and then I didn’t want to wait an hour for the standard package). I went with my 5 and 3 year old. We decided to get a snack (there was a $15 voucher with my full priced ticket for food) so they could sit but then AFTER we got thru the narrow cafe with our $40 snacks I saw they only had adult sized stand up tables and they wouldn’t let us sit in the restaurant despite it being empty. We had to go downstairs (balancing everything) to benches which is of course not ideal for toddler eating. Then we enjoyed the views and on the way out stopped at the restroom which didn’t have a changing table, just a hard marble slab. Luckily my 3YO can do a quick change standing up but half way thru a staff member came in and yelled at me that he isn’t allowed to stand on the counter (I was right in front of him holding him putting on his pants). Overall it seemed a tourist trap complete with expensive silly photos and not friendly to the younger visitors.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 July 2023
- Jeannie WrightTemecula, California7 contributionsA Must See for Every American! This is awe inspiring memorial to the people that lost their lives on 9/11. Plan for at least half a day to walk to the museum. I would definitely recommend you take a tour as there’s a lot to hear about and see. The tour that starts at the cathedral is probably one of the better ones just Google it.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 July 2023
- JeffinNJBridgewater, New Jersey322 contributionsOn top of the worldI would have been happy to give this a five except for the price. $45 is just too steep, and you can pay a lot more than that with useless add-ons. I paid less as a veteran and my family received 20% off. It was still $100 for us to go in and ride the incredibly fast elevator to the top. I feel for bad for those who didn't qualify for a discount. I will say that the 360° panoramic views are spectacular and rarely got blocked from the presence of so many tourists midsummer. Forgot about eating there; a cheeseburger will set you back $32.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 August 2023

This was such an experience and the views are the BEST in the entire city! It rained the day we were there and yet you could not get over the views! Gift shops with food options include a light café and a beautiful sit-down restaurant and bar area. For an additional $15 you can rent a locator pad which gives you the names of all the buildings, bridges and sites in the surrounding area. We will always visit the top of this beautiful building each time we are in NYC.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 September 2023

After the awful attack on the twin towers in 2001 the buildings were removed and as far as I was aware there was a memorial put in its place. I did not know that a new World Trade Center had been built.
When I visited in October 2023 I felt the solemnity of the nearby memorial but the new building gave me hope. That rebuilding is possible after devastation and that we can move on.
The building is a very grand affair and stands out on the Manhattan skyline. Long may it reign.

Very cool building.
Kinda neat being so high up.
The view can only be imagined.
Not much to do and no real exhibits except a hokey movie.

The new skyscraper is finally finished and the neighborhood is filling in, becoming mature. i am not crazy about the design, seems sort of ordinary to me. Maybe that is the point so that it would not be a target again. It is very tall and can be seen from many perspectives.

How long does this tour take if you have a skip the line pass?
Steven F
Honolulu, HI17 contributions
One of those tour events where I don’t think the pass is of much value, especially this time of year when the lines are very short or none at all. Like yourself we had a skip the line pass connected to another tour we were on. Went up the elevator without waiting and spent about 1 1/2 hours at the observatory (more than enough time in my opinion). Rented the optional $15 iPad per person that helped to Id the buildings visible from the tower. The display was of poor quality and I probably wouldn’t rent it again. But it was our first visit there so it was worth it.

Can someone tell me how to get there by bus or train from Sheraton hotel Times Square? And what the fare is? Many thanks. Would prefer a bus if possible to see more.

Hi I'm traveling to New York in July and was wondering if it is cheaper to get tickets before I go or when I get there
Jason S

Definitely get them when you get there. Advance tickets are a rip off and usually cost more than simply buying on the day.

I plan on going to the observation deck mid week in February. Should I spend the extra money for priority? How long is the wait in the regular line?

We visited on Sunday January 15th and weren't sure what time we'd be at the Tower - so we purchased the priority flexible tickets - well worth it because there were LOTS of people waiting in the other line - be sure to video the elevator ride up and down - and the intro at the top - fantastic. Enjoy!
