Spectacular, unique library in the heart of New York City. If you’re interested in culture, exhibitions, history, books worth to visit.

I'm beginning to think that New York is an awful place full of amazing things. The library, although still busy, is a calm distraction from the outside. It's a must if you love books and/or architecture.

We were not planning on visiting the Library but glad we did as we were impressed with the history and architecture. We strolled around the interior and would recommend the library to any visitor.

This was our second visit and this time we had a really good look around all the levels. The road up-to the library has bronze signs on the floor with quotes to read. Beautiful inside with lots to see for free!

I would definitely make a trip to this library if you've already seen other highlights of NY. We wanted to see the Winnie-the-pooh doll collection.

We visited the New York Public Library. It is such an amazing building. You have to go inside to see the frescoes on the walls and ceilings. It's a really beautiful space. And it's free!

I wish we had a library this exquisite in the UK - the entrance alone is grand and beautiful and this continues throughout. The separate rooms are beautiful and the views from the windows are stunning. I would love to be studying in New York...More

The Beaux-Arts inspired architecture is magnificent, and although synonymous to France, it is very American as it is in-keeping with landmarks like the White House and the powerhouses of Washington DC. The New York Public Library is perfectly situated with the beautiful Bryant Park at...More
