A local recommended this place (on Central Park not far from the Frick). VERY interesting and worthwhile a visit. Good displays with a great overview of the city's long and colorful history. Not crowded.

Very interesting looking at the history of New York, there was an interesting video to watch, and there were interactive displays. There was also a display on the history of clothing worn throughout the periods. Great to visit if you have time!

The museum is great. The displays are very nice. Staff was very helpful. So much information under one roof. We have visited NYC many, many times in the past 30 years. Should have made this museum our first choice.
