Very busy, very crowded, very loud, lights everywhere, people trying to sell stuff in your space every 3 to 4 steps. However, if you come to NYC it is something that must be seen in person to get an idea of the size and scope of it all. Centrally located and where our bus dropped us off every day so... More

It was cool to see this iconic site in the heart of NYC. Being from a small town the number of people is a bit overwhelming but you can't deny the energy that all of Manhattan has. Glad we saw it in person.

If you are in NYC you have to see Times Square. Just be prepared for a lot of pushing and shoving. Keep your kids close because it is very easy to get lost in the swarms of people. Awesome shopping and food everywhere.

It was our 1st trip to New York, and boy it leaves you speechless. Times Square is over the top mind blowing, so much to see, it's almost puts your mind into sensory overdrive. Even at 3am things are still hopping, the advertisements were right, it's a city that never sleeps.

We arrived the afternoon of a most unfortunate homocide accident. The entire area swarmed with police carrying machine guns. It was surreal and dampened the spirit for sure. Weirdos tend to swarm this area and it gets crammed with walk of life people early.

A marvellous, buzzing pace to visit. It's great to stand and watch life goes past you in this place. For a Brit it was very reassuring to see so many Police Officers and security around too.

Bustling hub of midtown Manhattan. Mostly shopping and restaurants, but we went to see the lights and people and weren't disappointed.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
