    Submerge yourself in touristVille
Loved it, last visit was 25 years ago and i still love it today. Electric, bright lights, viby, alive, great shopping nearby, sooo touristy but i love all of that. Was warned that those characters will try sell you photos with them but we were definitely not harassed in any way. For Me, pure freedom and great pix

    NYC at its Finest
Our trip here as a family will forever be a treasured memory. We saw so many wonderful places and were amazed at the quality of all the employees, the kindness they showed, their impeccable work ethic, and the cleanliness of the city. It was a great adventure.

Any trip to NYC requires a stop at Times Square
It's truly remarkable, easy to get around. Fantastic restaurants, lots of friendly people. Great souvenir shops for shot glasses and t-shirts. I've been to Times Square three times and have loved them all.

    You have to see it!
I feel like Times Square is something that everyone needs to see at least once. I took my college-aged daughter for a NYC trip and we went once during the day and once at night after a show. Practice your resting bi!tchy face and ignore everyone wanting money. I agree with other reviewers about legalized pot as well. It stinks everywhere. I really don't care if someone chooses to do it but I don't want to smell it at every turn. It is pretty disgusting and almost as bad as cigarette smoke.

    Times Square is thriving again
It’s great to see the area thriving again. Although this was a business trip, I was still able to get out to a few restaurants and enjoy what Times Square has to offer. The only drawback to the experience is there seemed to be quite a bit of open drug use along the streets.

    Visit at least once
I think it’s a place to visit once in a lifetime. It’s overwhelming for a person from the county. There are a lot of people and you have to be careful not to take pictures with the “characters”. I heard they will charge outrageous prices for the picture on your phone. There are billboards playing advertisements on many buildings.

    Dazzling
First trip to NYC. Times Square is full of life and vibrant day or night. Party atmosphere at night. There are people selling stuff and others dressed up as characters where they tempt you to pay for photos with them. Easy to brush them off and a firm but polite No thanks works. A must see.

    Exciting
Being here in person was incredible. Having watched New Year's Eve programs several times; things look somewhat familiar, but the excitement has to be experienced first hand. All the various people and activity makes for a great adventure. Many people were decorated in costumes for photo ops.

Unique in US - recommend visit both during the day and at night
Absolutely visit - this is one of the most unique places in the US - indeed in the world. Especially recommend visit at night when lighting is incredible. . If possible, visit both during the day and at night. Square is named for the New York Times, which has its hq on 43rd Street, 1/2 block from the square.

Times Square is NYCs most famous spot! There really is nothing like it! It may be known for being super touristy- but it’s touristy for a reason!

Sensory overload will happen in Times Square. Tons of people, shops, cars, the sights, the sounds, the smell. It’s something one has to experience Times Square for the full magic.

Lots of good food. Some iconic areas include all the flashing billboards (crazy how BRIGHT it is even at night on the street), the iconic Cathedral, and so many unique grand shops like M&Ms world, Nintendo and LEGO store!

PROs - best spot in NY , love the ambience
CONs- less restrooms , scammers around

Cant believe I haven’t reviewed The great Times Square !!! Uff.. have been there zillion times and didnt review this place … No.1 place to visit in New York . So colorful in the night .. take ur photo and video cams and keep shooting pics. So many shops around to eat and drink . Best place to go with family and kids ..

Of course it is expensive.. less public restrooms around but you can go to any hotel or restaurant and use their restroom . Be careful of people who take pics with kids . You call one and then 2 more guys forcefully come into the pic and ask money ! Some crazy people around here… be aware of the surroundings . Enjoy the place and have fun in New York .. love this overall :)

I had gone to see phantom of the opera at the majestic theatre. I didn't think it was possible for such a beautiful city scape. It really was just like the movies

We were captivated by the energy of the bustling streets, dazzling neon signs, and talented street performers. Walking through Times Square felt like being in a vibrant whirlwind of art and entertainment. We stumbled upon some amazing art galleries showcasing unique pieces. A must-visit spot for any couple looking for an unforgettable experience in New York City!

Whenever I visit NYC I always like to stay in or near Times Square. I absolutely love it. One, it is close to the theaters and my family usually tries to get in at least one show. Two, there are countless decent to very good dining options that are great for families. Three, it is just a very cool scene to take in with the bright lights, crowds, performances, constant buzz, and so on. Four, there are multiple top notch hotels to choose from. The list goes on and on. Is it perfect? No. Of course there are some incidents from time to time... but if you put 500,000 people in one area on a daily basis sometimes things will happen. People who are looking for trouble will find it... but this is true in any part of any city in the world. Bottom line is Times Square is filled with families and tourists enjoying their visit every single day and I never, ever feel unsafe here. Just use the same common sense you do anywhere else and you will never have an issue and enjoy it to the max. Anf yes it is pricey but I find all of NYC to be pretty expensive in general... and the "cheaper" areas are far from places visitors want to be. I only wish we had an area as amazing as Times Square back in my home city!

We had both been to New York as kids, and now on our layover heading home, we decided to stay a couple of days here. Honey, let me tell you, the memories of Times Square, the lights, and the electrifying ambiance were just as fabulous as we remembered. We made a promise to come back when we have little ones and help them create their own memories of this iconic place. Can you imagine the look on their faces? Priceless, I tell ya!

Having visited from London in 2003 & 05 I was keen to see it again in 2024, but it wasn’t the same. The touts constantly hassling you for this tour or that show, the dressed up characters waving ‘give me a tip’ signs in your face, really spoilt it for me. And the stench of weed now it’s been legalised really was horrible. Obviously it looks fun and exciting with its big bright light’s & atmosphere but over all not a highlight for me, just passed through quickly to get to our destinations.
