Planning on visiting this world famous location really excited us. You would expect a somewhat impressive reception however prepare for queuing up in front of a shabby check-in office on 1st avenue completely open to the elements. Only one person of any party can go...More

Very interesting tour, book it in advance, online....because they get pretty busy...highly recommended. Very cool gift shop with crafts from all over the world.

Visiting the United Nations Headquarters was a nice adventure. Went on Sunday when no sessions scheduled. No lines anywhere. Getting through security was fast. Walking through the venue was interesting. Hudson's UN Gift Centre has many collectables. Book store is also worth the visit.

My friends and I purchased tickets for a tour of the United Nations. The website says to arrive 1 hour before the tour. We were a little early and arrived at 8:20 for our 9:30 tour. We were told to go across the street to...More

I went to the UN Headquarters more out of a feeling of duty rather than a place of interest. It is a certainly worth visiting for both reasons - interest and duty - and one can add a great place to learn a little more...More

Not a great experience - we didn’t book ahead as we didn’t anticipate it would be fully booked in low season. However saying that the staff at the UN were very unhelpful and for an organisation promoting collaboration and peace that was quite ironic !...More

This was an extremely interesting tour that the entire family - parents and two kids enjoyed. The tour guide was excellent - knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. Lots of interesting information and entering the General Assembly room is truly surreal. Yes, definitely pre-purchase your tour tickets...More

On this 45 minute tour we were taken to see the 4 main rooms used at the UN headquarters including that for the Security Council. The reason for my modest rating was that for security you are asked to turn up an hour before your...More

We enjoyed a nice tour of the UN earlier this week. The guide was very knowledgeable, but unfortunately there were people in our tour group who dominated the conversation to the extent that I had unanswered questions at the end. I’ll also point out that...More

I think you would be able to go in for sure; may not be open for a long duration of time, usually, tours move from room to room and don't allow you to deviate from the group

The official tour is most interesting. You go to places you can only visit with a guide. It takes about a hour and we enjoyed it very much. Fascinating info.
