Avenue of the Americas, also known as 6th Avenue, is an amazing street. It's wide and, at least on the day we were there, it is full of a huge number of vendors selling food, food and more street food! A wide variety of eats to satisfy every taste!

Although not as famous as 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue is a beautiful avenue, lined with a large number of skyscrapers, that provide the feeling of walking through a man-made canyon.

One of the very wide north-south avenues in Manhattan, most famous for the Midtown skyscrapers that house big corporations. Some fancy restaurants for those on expense accounts. At the lower end you have the West Village.

The Avenue of the Americas was formerly known as Sixth Avenue. In fact, most of the population of NYC still calls it Sixth Avenue. Traffic on this street runs north, or "uptown." The Avenue of the Americas has many features, such as Bryant Park, a well-known gathering place for New Yorkers. The Avenue of the Americas has a dense population of corporate headquarters. Easiest way to get there is by Subway.

What can I say that you might not already know? Have a wander through Times Square and take your photos, but then leave, that's enough, don't eat or drink there.
We stayed in New York Hilton MIdtown, if you head towards Central Park there are some lovely restaurants and bars down the side streets that are cheaper than the Square and the staff have more time for you. 6th Avenue is busy and with loads of street vendors and lots of people watching, far better to spend your time here.
But, one must do we would recommend would be Ellen's Stardust Diner, be prepared for long queues, be prepared for not great food (maybe go for breakfast) but definitely go if you love live singing and musicals - it's superb and I really hope all the staff find their dream on the Broadway stages because that's where they belong

Sixth Avenue is the place to take a stroll on a Sunday morning. The coffee shops, the bakeries, the shopping, and Bryant Park! We even saw the Seinfeld food truck! So many sights to see!

If you are there during holidays there are great Christmas decorations plus Radio City Music Hall to view. Actually we also saw the FOX Christmas tree the day before it was a victim of arson. There wasn’t much of anything left of it to take a picture of the next day. There’s a bit of hustle and bustle but not as much as Fifth Avenue.

Sixth Avenue has a good amount of hustle & bustle, especially during afternoon rush hour. More large corporate offices in this area. A good amount of hotels. Go to 53rd Street & 6th Ave to eat at the original Halal Guys carts.
