This is the outdoor portion of the big memorial to those lost on 9-11. The names are present in the stone and there is a design that evokes the position of the buildings that collapsed. It's is stark and moving.

A lovely and well-kept memorial to the fallen.
The commemoration of the loss of so many could have been glorified but instead it is more fitting that it is calm, serene but thought-provoking at the same time.
I found the name of a friend who died in the north tower on the last panel that we looked at around the water feature.

Incredible and moving memorial , Considering its a site of historic value and a graveyard to so many, We found it a bit tasteless to sell souvenirs of toy police cars and other tat at the site

Nice little park overlooking the WTC site provides seating for reflection. Also home to the statue commemorating the soldiers utilizing horses in Afghanistan.

We opted not to go into the 911 museum, but spent some time at liberty park. The memorial to all who were killed as a result of the 9/11 attacks is so beautifully done. It's a real credit to the city and more importantly to its people. It was very emotional taking time to walk around and read many of the names.

We crossed through this park every day during our stay at the Marriott.
The park was well maintained, clean and very secure with roaming police.
The two largest man-made waterfalls and reflecting pools were busy with visitors. Built over the footprint of each world trade center building it was always a solemn stop to pay respects and remember.
At night the water was turned off and the park closed.

So beautiful even though it was freezing cold. It's well monitored by security and the design is beautiful.
