This month you can enjoy a Penn exhibit; he is a famous Vogue photographer. Upstairs is an exhibit of a Japanese clothing designer who worked for Comme des Garcons. The people attracted by the last exhibit are also worth 'viewing'.

It is so important to plaln what you want to see ahead of time as this place is so huge and amazing, and hard to find your way around in. Buy a CityPass and skip the lines at the entrance!

The Met has a fabulous collection of art. Your favorite artist will sure to be represented. The Breuyer Met and the Cloisters are included in the price of admission which is a suggested price, not a fixed price. A great deal in a great museum.

If you come to NYC and you have more than a day you should try to see The Met! It is, fair warning though, the kind of place you may feel like you need a week to thoroughly see. I love the Costume Institute.

A beautiful building holds the stage for wonderful stories to unfold visibly in front of your eyes. Overwhelming at times, break your visit into two hour blocks and savor its grandeur.

We only were able to spend four hours which only allowed us to scratch the surface, but what we saw was first rate. We especially enjoyed the special exhibit of the terra cotta warriors and other Chinese artifacts. We look forward to a return visit...More

There is something for everyone here. If you are in NY, take the time to go here. Thought there is a suggested entry fee, pay what you can. Anything will help support the museum.

About how long would it take to get from Times Square to Metropolitan Museum of Art by cab this Saturday? Will Fleet Week add to traffic and congestion? We have only two and a half hours total to get back to see a show.

There is a cafe there called the American Cafe that is casual and has good food. It is cafeteria style and is right in one of the main lobbies so kids could have lots to see!
