This is my most favorite museum in NYC. I was very glad to be able to share this experience with my boyfriend. We both love the the Egyptian Wing. I recommend everyone visiting NYC to spend a day in the MET!

To my great surprise they put on display a painting which has been sitting in their vault for the past how-many years. It's "The Visit to the Nursery" by Gabriel Metsu, one of his best works imho. Although hanging it in the Vermeer's room required them removing his "Woman with a Lute" it's worth it as most likely it will... More

I cannot say enough about the MET. It was a dream to visit it and didn't disappoint. We loved everything about it. The amount and quality of the attractions are amazing. We walked around for about 3 hours and didn't even see 1/4 of the museum. The café is great also. A little overpriced but the food is good and... More

Well organized, beautiful art in all shapes and sizes. Amazing to get all of this under one roof. Always try to visit when going to NYC. Special exhibits are also worth the time. Make this a must-do for your visit.

I love New York and I Love this museum. I could spend days here just wandering around and absorbing everything they have to offer. The prices mentioned are "suggested" so if you are strapped for cash then a donation is sufficient. This is appreciated by us art lovers who have family's !

I could spend days roaming the halls of the MET. It truly is one of the best places in the world. We spent the whole day there, at the Egyptian exhibit and the Costume Institute, and we attended the Jerusalem exhibit which was fascinating.

This time I went to see the Christmas Tree. Wow. The tree itself is full of what I'd call Baroque angles. But the bottom of the tree is the best part. Of course, there's the Nativity. But walk around the tree: Look for one of the Wisemen on a horse; another on an elephant. Scenes from little villages. It's all... More

Wow! This museum was awesome! Paintings, statues, artifacts. It was everything I expected, and more! I would definitely recommend this museum to anyone. Several school students were there on a field trip and you could see the awe on their little faces.

Our short visit in Manhattan afforded us the opportunity to visit this wonderful museum. We spent 3 hours wandering through maybe only a quarter of the museum. Their collection is astounding and if you want to see it all definitely plan on spending a day or two solely in the MET. My inner child was fascinated by the suits of... More

We arrived and checked our coats and bags then purchased full price tickets $25 each, but if you want you can pay whatever you decide. So if you are a large family group it would work out cheap. We decided to pay the full rate. Thoroughly enjoyed the layout and ease finding the exhibitions. Was also surprised considering how busy... More
