The Rodin at the Met exhibit was excellent. Wonderful examples of his beautiful work. Also some interesting photography exhibits. The David Hockney exhibit was much bigger than I expected. He has had such a wide range of styles over the years.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Michelangelo special exhibit on his sketches. It was far better than I thought it would be. The recording to purchase for $7 was very good and instructive. It gave me a new perspective on his preparation before paintings and sculpture. The...More

The MET was amazing! Definitely plan a stop here, but plan at least a few hours. It is enormous, and impossible to see the whole museum in one trip. I got on their website and found the exhibits and halls I knew I wanted to...More

This world class museum is a major treat, located in one of the few quieter parts of New York, the Upper East Side (UES) and kind of in Central Park. The museum is huge and is best approached by sorting out what you most want...More

Been there twice and I always look forward to just look at the sculptures and paintings. They say that a day is not enough to really appreciate the place. It felt like going back in time, the European culture, the Armory, the Swords and Shields,...More

Take your time going through this museum as it is full of wonderful artwork. The museum shop is outstanding; especially for holiday shopping. The coat rack is free, however, recommend a tip for the very nice people working the rack.

We like to go on Christmas Eve morning, it is our tradition and we can see the tree and walk the galleries. It is a great visit anytime of year and the collections are world class. A must for native NY-ers or tourists!

I visited the museum just over six weeks ago and there was an option to have an audio tour. There is an additional charge but I’m unsure as to the cost.
