Nice to walk around

A very short street full of bars and places to eat. Close to the Vietnam Memorial, this little street reminds you the old times.

This is our 2nd time to Stone street and finally got to experience it at night. Such a great place for couples to come and share a craft beer soak up some genuine pub culture at its best, so worth a visit, especially at night.

Stone Street is lined with a variety of restaurants. I enjoyed a nice dinner outside with some friends. I wouldn't say it is a must do, but if you are in the area it is worth checking out.

Stone Street is the lifeline of lower Manhattan. The history of Stone St is that back in the day woman would complain of the vile odor coming from Stone St when Brewers would dump their leftover beer into the streets. Cobblestones were set down to help move the stenchy beer along and down the street. Today Stone St is a... More

We were meeting our friends from Brooklyn and as we were staying downtown, they said to meet them on Stone Street. What a fabulous little area. The road is blocked off with outdoor tables, tents, lanterns, and flags. We ate at The Dubliner and also ate outside. While it was HOT (almost 100F), there was a nice breeze under the... More

Stone Street Historic District with its multitude of pubs and restaurants and central promenade with picnic tables, umbrellas and twinkling lights creates an atmosphere of Olde New York or Europe. As a New Yorker I find it to be one of my favorite places as it is always alive with people and a welcome break from the urban life. You... More

Eat lunch with all the business people from the financial district! There's a great busy yet cozy atmosphere and lots of great food to choose from. It gets really busy just around noon.

Lovely street - make sure you're on the cobbled stone street. Rows of benches topped with energetic conversations - the perfect place for a lunch or evening drinks

Popular lunch spot. Multiple restraunt offerings, reasonable nyc pricing. I tend to return to Beckets. Historically, about the oldest area in NYC.

I have watched this area develop over the past decade and each time I return it becomes more interesting. That is nothing in comparison to the history. Perhaps I am a downtown girl rather than uptown, but I like the character of the old around here. The historic area is quite wide, including various streets alongside Stone Street. Unfortunately, in... More
