We went to the lobby in the evening and studied the architecture of the main hall with the impressive art deco fixtures and ceiling paintings. There is no other building like it.

You cannot stop looking at the Chrysler building it's iconic, you cannot go up into the building but you are allowed in the lobby area where there is a small display on the history of this great iconic landmark

This iconic part of the New York skyline was built in 1930 and represents a great example of the art deco style. See if you can find the various homages to the automobile industry like the hubcap designs and others.

Bear in mind that any building you go up will not have that building in the view, so I would recommend going up the rock or one world, as you'll want the Chrysler or the empire state in your view. And eat somewhere else... More
