We took a tour with Viator. The tour guide, Alice, was very knowledgeable about the history of the Statue.

Smaller than she looks in the movies but still an iconic thing to see and visit in New York. One of the most recognizable statues in the world

I've read a lot of horror stories about waiting in line for hours to go and see the Statue of Liberty, with some people not actually getting on a ferry after waiting. Knowing this I reserved a ticket for the first ferry and arrived early....More

We caught the Ellis Island/ Liberty Island ferry which offers a quick trip to said islands. The views from the back of the ferry were amazing and there are loads of photo opportunities. We walked around the Stature of Liberty and spent time in the...More

I went there with my family around 1 pm. It was sunny and you have the opportunity to appreciate both Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Really worth the price!

Had a great time when my kids came to visit last year. Two things: Get your tickets online and don't expect to visit the crown of the statue unless you planned months out. There's a long line to wait if you didn't purchase the tickets...More

It's a must visit if in NYC. It's iconic; the overall experience is great. From the ferry ride to the site and the statue up close. The whole place has a really serene feel despite the crowds. We went on a Sunday but didn't find...More

I did not step foot on the island but saw it from a ship passing by at day and again at night. An iconic sight that is worth getting close to rather than seeing from the mainland. This is the French lass that welcomed so...More

You have to pay for the ferry to get to the island. If you want to go up in the statue that is an additional charge.

Apparently you can catch the boat at anytime but I would be on time for the crown, as there is a long line for it. If you haven’t book yet, I’d suggest to give a miss, the statue is much smaller than we think.
