Feel it!

Wait to stay in line for a while but it's well worth it. The statue is beautiful and the cross over has it charm seeing the city from a river perspective is breath taking.

I'm 50 and am embarrassed to say that I had never visited the Statue of Liberty until a week ago. On a recent drive to the city for an overnight, we decided at the last minute to tackle Lady Liberty and Ellis Island. I can't say that I ever envisioned visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island bundled up... More

Went here with 19 Boy Scouts. The crown does not accept group tours so we booked individual tours using nine adults. The steps up the crown (and down) are very narrow and steep but the clump was worth it. Pretty cool looking out of the crown and seeing the inside if the statue. Great time had by all.

Give yourself the whole day for this visit. Between Ellis Island and the statue, you don't want to be rushed. The ferry rides were great with inside and outside seating. Food, beverages and restrooms are on board. The security is extensive but efficient. Lots of steps to get to the crown! Not for the faint of heart. There is an... More

This is obviously a must see while in NY. We didn't opt for the pedestal or crown view, as they were already sold out when we booked. But walking around on liberty island has a very good view nonetheless.

Only "visited" "Herself" for a viewing from the water on a Hornblower Cruise but the uninterrupted view and photo opportunity were 100%. An hour well spent with guide giving all the historic detail of this great monument of Friendship and Freedom. Most Enjoyable!!

It is a beautiful monument with a very enjoyable ferry because of the great views of New York. However, there's nothing special in the island

This place has to be seen to be believed. The architecture itself is amazing. Sadly you may get ripped off if you want to go to the crown as that is an extra charge over the cost of getting to the island

I expected more! So sorry! She just wasn't as awesome as I thought when faced with NYC and all it's awe! I never went inside, but took a ferry, twice , so I had two separate experiences

Must do in NYC! We love it a lot! Besides taking hundreds of creative photos, visiting their souvenir store is one of the highlights too!
