So Impressed. NICE people, and everywhere you look - complete perfection. Loved the ox cart ride and the inside of the buildings. Enjoyed feeding the chickens too! Could've spent hours and hours there. Wish I'd had time to go to the evening lantern tours.

Nice walking tour of house and other farm buildings. We really enjoyed talking to the lady in the cook house who gave us a lot of information on the farm, family and life at that time. Great learning experience for kids.

Wonderful staff providing rides with the steer pulling a cart. Great for children but I found it very interesting as well. If you come at the right time of year, you can watch the sheep shearing.

This place is like taking a step back in time. The reenactors all dressed in period clothing going about their daily chores which included cooking corn cakes and farm raised eggs. We were even able to taste some of it which was nice. We got...More

How do we find out what activities are going on on a particular day? We will be in the Outer Banks next week. We have done the aquarium several times, and we might like to try this ouot.

I believe that they have a website and phone number, using either or both might help if you look them up.

We visited Island Farm in the early summer and I really don't recall the hours of operation. I think the best source would be to call or e-mail Island Farm Administration directly. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Bill B.
