Tightly packed into two stories of an old house, the collection is nicely divided into a variety of categories that are sure to entice anyone to hunt for just the right book fora summer read. There are some delightful surprises... I'll admit it, I generally prefer new bookstores. I find that too many used bookstores are limited in stock and I quickly get frustrated by the haphazard nature. It's not them.....its me. But this bookstore is in good order and has so many titles and genres crammed into a rather small space. It is a pleasure to peruse and is... More

Fun to peruse. Lots of books. Has that delightful old bookstore smell. Prices are a bit high for used books.

Not counting the beach, this is my favorite place on the Cape! Huge selection of books, and I seem to always find things I never even thought of. You can easily get lost in browsing, and the shop itself is so cozy and packed with treasures you'll spend hours there. Once I stayed in a cabin that still had a... More

There are so few "real" book stores left nowadays, and this one is not to be missed by any book lover visiting the Cape. Hundreds of used books at reasonable prices; it's a joy just to browse and discover.

Faced with the decline in reading throughout America, the small, independent bookstore has gradually become a relic in many towns and cities. Herridge has stayed open and continues to thrive with a small, but dedicated cadre of clients who can find just the right books for their interests. While there are current best sellers available for the purchase, the best... More

Herridge Books has every book ever written! No, but it seems to have everything you were ever interested in reading and couldn't find. And a lot of books you had no interest in reading until you discovered it on a dusty shelf in the basement right next to the autobiography of Ayn Rand. Rumor has it that people have entered... More

I went in just to browse and found treasure. The staff was wonderful and was a breath of fresh air. If you dig you will find treasures! Worth a stop for any bibliophile.
