Marconi Beach was named after the Italian inventor Marconi. This place was named for him because Marconi successfully completed the first transatlantic wireless communication between the U.S. and England in 1903 at this site! Informative signs tell the story of this important historical event. The site was also an important WWII artillery training facility,Camp Wellfleet. The military camp eventually outlived... More

Loved the views from the observation platform. Since it is October the restrooms are all locked up. But we knew to expect that. We saw some surfers getting ready to go out.

What a beautiful beach. We went the weekend of Oct. 17th. A clean, wide open space. We've been to CC several times, but it was our first time at this beach. Can't wait to visit it in the summer.

If there is one beach to visit in the cape cod area this is the one. Bluffs that must be close to 70 ft high. An endless beach which is breathtaking. It's that one place you could just walk and enjoy all day long.

We were vacationing on Cape Cod recently and went to many beaches during our stay on the Cape. Marconi Beach was great. They had easy access to the Ocean. There are restrooms and showers available, and even a restaurant that was closed, unfortunately, due to it being seasonal.

A beach stop on the way up the cape. Beautiful beach. As clean as you could ask for. Great place for a walk.

The towers were ruined but visible 50 yrs ago. Now the dunes only remain with the sites history. History buffs a must stop on the Cape.

Beach is great, clean water, nice waves good sand. However you must go down several flights of stairs to get there. Great views from upper area without taking the stairs.

Our family goal was to see a Seal on our trip to Cape Cod... amazing! They were everywhere and we never tired of watching them. The beach itself was beautiful. The kids loved playing in the waves and making sand castles. But the highlight for all of us was the Seals!

We were on the Cape about two weeks ago, and were staying near Marconi Beach. The Southfleet Motor Inn loaned us their can of Cutter's Spray to ward off the hordes of black flies we encountered the day before. When we got down to the beach (steep flights of stairs), we sprayed ourselves liberally; and over our socks and shoes... More
