After taking a tour in Canyon de Chelly, seeing it from the top is another wonderful perspective. The views are beautiful from either rim.

this is the shorter drive of the two available. There are several view points and some are a little longer walk than the ones on the south rim

We took this drive to the Mummy Cave overlook, the Massacre Cave overlook and Antelope House Overlook. The road and trails are in good shape but the trails are naturally uneven. The sites are wonderful and best explained by a Navajo guide.

The north rim drive is ok, but not even close to the south rim drive in terms of viewpoints and beauty.

I enjoyed the n rim drive lookouts a second time... Red rock and canyons are always mesmerizing. Recommend going into the canyon too...

Much more traffic here than on the south rims drive. Only one overlook was open due to road construction.

Not as much to see as the South rim but still very beautiful. There are only three pullouts. It takes about an hour or hour and a half.

If you were pressed for time, this would be the drive I would recommend. You get a nice sampling of what is in the canyon in a fairly short amount of time.
