I have been back multiple times in the past few years, and it keeps getting better and better. The main trail is now 25 miles long on the North/South leg. Near around mile 18 is an East/West spur that goes all the way to Edgewater. This is one of the best bike paths in the Space Coast area. I've seen deer, gators, turtles, eagles, falcons, tortoises, and a host of other animals on the remote parts of the trail. Bring lots to drink and eat, as there are only a couple of places to get supplies along the route.

This segment of the East Central Regional Rail Trail begins in Titusville, Florida and runs for around 15 miles to the north. The trail varies from neighborhoods, to industrial parks, to back woods, to remote scrub barrens. It is a beautiful ride on a perfectly paved surface. It is a great way to spend multiple hours on your bike or walking/jogging. The further you get away from the trail head, the more remote it gets. Bring food and water, as there aren't many opportunities to get supplies once you've gotten a few mile north of the trail head at the Max Brewer causeway.

I've lived in Titusville for 12 years. That was before the trail. I was eagerly awaiting the trail. It was worth the wait.

The East Central Regional Rail Trail is part of the Florida Coast to Coast Trail. You can ride on a paved off road trail. This trail is about 40 miles long. Starts in downtown Titusville. You can have breakfast at the local bakery and there is plenty of free parking. After your ride, you can enjoy Playalinda Brewing Co!

It depends on where you start your ride and how fast you go. If you begin in Titusville, it’s probably at least 40 to 50 miles to get up to Edgewater which is still south of new Smyrna. 10 miles an hour you’re looking at a five hour bike ride.
