You can almost touch the planes taking off and landing. 10 minutes from the airport. It offers history of a local military base somewhat closed and turned into a beautiful market place. Spin classes outside, trails, candy stores, food, notions and a 50’s diner. It is delightful and plenty of parking. Lots of grassy knolls for the kids and dogs to run around. It is perfection.

I drove down to San Diego with my daughter specifically to visit Liberty Public Market, to celebrate her Birthday. The buildings were once a military base and are now used for artisans, food vendors, restaurants, shops and galleries. I knew my daughter would enjoy the Food Hall as well as the shopping. It didn't disappoint. We walked around a bit to check out some of the Artisan shops and look at all the food options, before making our choices. She wanted to try Chicken and Waffles at Fluster Cluck and I opted for some Potato Tacos at Cecilias Taqueria. There was plenty of seating outdoors and after our delicious meal we walked around to see what tempting desserts to try. We enjoyed exploring both the different indoor and outdoors spaces and walking off all the food we had eaten.

This is a San Diego tourist visitor “must do”. Likely the wife will have to drag the husband to this “shopping Mecca”, but once there I believe that the food and drink will make it a good time for all! Come early and make a day of it as there is lots to explore. There is a huge parking lot by the main building…which is nice!

Herding cats easier than getting a consensus decision of where to go to eat out of our family group. On Christmas Eve, Liberty Station, and specifically the BottleCraft/Bar area, came through for us.

We each ordered our own food from the array of offerings then met at a big table right in front of the bar and ordered our beverages.

A shout out to Lance, the gentleman behind the draft bar, for his fine service.

More expensive than you would want for a public market, but it is nice and clean and lots of great food vendors doing it right. Beer garden for SD's many local breweries. The beer garden is outside and offers space for your kid or kids to run around and get energy out. Not overly large market either, so not excessive walking. Good restaurants outside of market in surrounding area as well.

This was our second home while staying at an Airbnb in Point Loma. Was just about 1.5 miles from our house and we ended up coming here multiple times to eat dinner, lunch and breakfast (and go to a movie at The Lot). Loved how they restored the buildings and kept the overall character. Great place with nice diverse restaurants. Also fun to walk by the water and see the planes land and take off.

Lovely walkable indoor/outdoor space with lots of shops and food options.

Tons of food options in the main interior area...there is something for everyone, including Stone Brewery for the beer lovers.

Since it is very close to the airport, we decided to go straight directly from the airport as we had a few hours to kill before checking into the hotel. It was a great introduction to the area.

May be a good idea to schedule this either on the way into or out of the area as it is so close to the airports. I am always cautious, but never felt unsafe parking our luggage-filled car in the lot there.

Lots of free parking lots throughout the area.

They have a good collection of food court choices. Something for everyone. They have plenty of seating. This is a great place for a group that can’t make up their minds on a single type of food. Everyone can get what they want and then sit together on a common table.

This large food hall was an ideal place to take a large family for dinner. Each member got to choose his/her own cuisine from the huge variety of eateries. We liked that there’re spaces with tables all around the parameter for those who preferred dining al fresco. We sampled pizza, Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican, Filipino, Hawaiian offerings. Noise level was high, more so because it’s under a San Diego airport flight

Employees were really friendly and helpful and the food choices were plentiful. We all enjoyed our dishes, the food was fresh and tasty. Outdoor seating was easy to find, although more shade would have been appreciated. Will definitely return when in the area.
