    Best Concessions
Overall one of the best parks I have been to. Seats are great. Wide areas to walk. Many hotels in the area. The concessions are the best I’ve seen. A must for all baseball fans!

    4th of July game!
We attended the Padres/Angels game on the 4th of July, love attending games at Petco. We sat up in the right field area, mistake as it was a 3:40pm game time and we faced the sun most of the game. We stayed at the Omni so we were able to take the bridge across to the stadium. There was a long wait due to the number of fans staying at the hotel and the game being sold out. My only issue was with security, we have been to many venues and they will allow fans in with a clear bag. My wife had her clear bag, maybe a smaller purse size and the lady said it is not allowed but we saw many bags that were not clear or larger that were in the stadium. There needs to be more consistency with their security. Overall we had a great experience even thought the Halos lost the game.

    Our First Ball Game
This was our first baseball game. We saw local team the Padres playing the Washington nationals. Being from the UK, we didn’t really understand all the ins and outs of the game, but that didn’t stop us having a fantastic time in a great atmospheric ball park. Great views, great weather and very friendly people. We even brought a Padres uniform to take home. Plus note: Padres won the game.

    A great American experience
It was my birthday and I was on holiday from the U.K. with my wife. I didn’t have a clue about the rules for baseball but I wanted to do something typically American. Petco Park is digital only. You need some method of contactless payment. We bought tickets from Ticketmaster but the official MLB ground app does the same thing. You are subjected to a security inspection and you can only carry a small bag. Basically a handbag or small shoulder bag. Check the dimensions on the website. The game takes two to three hours. We arrived early and had lunch as the park opens about an hour before the game. Even if you know nothing about the game you can enjoy the experience. The Padres in 2023 have a bunch of expensive players and a high payroll. Stars of the baseball world - although somewhat underperforming. Our game was against the Atlanta Braves. Games are played as a series. In our case it was the third day. The park is easy to get to. It’s at the southern end of downtown. It is next to a tram (trolley) line and the Gaslamp District. When I got home I did actually learn the rules and it made more sense. There is a shop for merch if you want souvenir. We enjoyed the whole thing and I think if I lived in San Diego I would go again.

One of the Top MLB Parks Not to be MIssed!
This park was amazing and beautiful. This is Current MLB Park # 29 out of 30 for me. It's right up there with my favorite, PNC, in Pittsburgh. Fan friendly. Very clean and modern. Great sightlines. Friendly employees. Friendly fans. They printed my e-ticket without any issue. Pregame concert on Saturday, pregame kid's activities on Sunday. Guest Relations gave us "first-game" buttons and Topps cards. We took the trolley to and from the game, from Old Town, which was fast, safe, clean and cheap. Cons: Beer was expensive. They don't take cash. Parking is non-existent or mad expensive. No printed programs. No printed schedules.

    Ballpark fun
First impressions Nice very nice. Exciting to see a Padre’s game. Parking You can park anywhere in the neighborhood around the ballpark but it will better to get parking at the Hilton Bayfront online. Easy access and take the bridge across to the field. Ambiance WONDERFUL, great and easy entries and exits to the different levels of the park. Seating is easy to get. Plan ahead, day of tickets get more expensive. A week out or more would be better. Lots of different areas to sit. Standing room only to green park at the back. Menu Lots of different options to eat, from your basic hot dog and pretzels to BBQ, Mexican, sushi and other fare. Food Take your pick, check out all the levels to see what you are getting. You can also have your food delivered. Price Great prices for venue Final Thoughts A must visit, catch a game, enjoy the game.

    Great evening
We went here to watch a baseball match. Petco Park is a great stadium, which is well organised. We found it easy to get in and out of it both before and after the game. The seats are good and not too cramped. There’s a good selection of food and drink. I’d happily go back here.

One of the Premier Ballparks in America
An absolutely wonderful, safe, family friendly, and fun ballpark. Not even close to a bad seat anywhere in the stadium. Check out the Padres home page for all stadium information. Lots of parking options nearby between $20-$50 a car. The trolley is also a great way to get to and from the games as is The Coaster from the North County. Plenty of really good food options but expect to pay plenty. A simple ballpark dog is $8.50. Fans are friendly and are not idiots like most LA area fans. Staff extremely polite and knowledgeable. Can quickly and safely get fans in and out of the stadium. The transients and homeless are normally booted out of the area during games days.

    Love this place
My family and I swung by here for a Padres v Phillies game. Petco is a great stadium and an amazing place to see a game. They have wiffleball field in the outfield. Everything was pretty reasonably priced. I can’t say enough about this ball park. It probably helps that the Phillies won. But if you’re looking for something to do defiantly consider coming here. Love this place.

    Good park
Very enjoyable, we had really nice seats. It was Hispanic heritage night, so the park was packed. The food and beer was good. The only warning, enroute to stadium, multiple hundreds of vagrants on street, tents, etc. it’s was shocking! But the cops kept them away from the stadium as you hot closer.

It had been a few years since I was able to attend a Padres game here at Petco Park. I can't remember exactly how long, but the park is still gorgeous, and the weather was perfect.

Entry into the park was extremely easy, and finding the seats wasn't difficult either, although as with any stadium you're not familiar with, finding the right section could be a bit of a challenge, as it was for us. Regardless, it only took a few minutes, and we were in the right spot. Once sat, we went to get some food and the method in which food is bought is pretty nice and not something I was too familiar with. What I mean is, you pick up your own food kind of like a grocery store and then take it to the register to pay. I do wish they gave you a bag or something to carry the food if you're buying quite a bit. Buying food for 5 at a stadium can be a challenge when carrying it all, and the little drink carrier doesn't cut it when you have four drinks, pretzels, hot dogs, peanuts, red vines, chips and cheese, etc.

A note on the food, I'm sure no one is surprised to hear that feeding 5 at a stadium cost me in excess of $140.00. So be prepared for that.

Aside from that, the experience was great, the game was great, as A's fans, the Padres fans were wonderful. Definitely recommend it to anyone for a fun night out.

Came to watch Padres play Mariners at Petco and it was a fun experience. Nothing better than a night game in a hot weather city. This stadium if fantastic, the atmosphere is great, the weather is perfect, the food options are one of the best out there and the place if always full. It was very easy to get in and the ballpark is very spacious so the big crowds can easily move around. I really liked the Gallagher square where tons of people can watch the game without having a seat in the ballpark..but still be part of the atmosphere. Fantastic park, the only negative would be that unlike other ballparks out there , you cannot walk all the way around and see the game.. there are boxes that block the view from the corridors so if you get food or drinks, you miss the live game, most ballparks don't have that. Great ballpark.

Classic matchup between two powerhouse teams. The Yankees were in town, and they set an attendance for the most people for a three-game series. This is an easy park to get in and out, family friendly, and great seats all around. Oh yea, the Padres won the finale.

Our first ever live baseball game and boy did it live up to our expectations. This is a beautiful sports arena with very comfy seats much better than we have in the UK.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was good well you have to have a hot dog don't you. The shop was very very busy as you would expect on a match day but the queues were handled to a Disney level. Would love to go back here again one day

Wanted to share our amazing experience of a behind the scenes Tour here at Lovely Petco Park. We were greeted at the gate by our host and tour guide Rudy. As beautiful as this Stadium is, Rudy was the highlight of our experience. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the Padres and Baseball in general. He gave us lots of great information about the Padres and took us to some areas we would never have experienced. He's also quite funny, yet very professional. Thank you, Rudy!
I would highly recommend this experience for any Baseball lover. The up-close access to players during batting practice was amazing!

We have been to about a half-dozen stadium tours and this one left us completely dumbfounded. My husband commented on our way out: This tour is a "2." Rating it a "1" would be if someone somehow got hurt. In short, the guide (Cheryl) provided ZERO information about the Padres, their history, their players/stats, their stars.....ZERO!!!! We were escorted to different parts of the stadium for us to sit and observe 10-15 minutes at a time. It was extremely strange and a huge disappointment. Petco Park, if you are reading this, please please please hire tour guides that talk/share information and hold them to some kind of memorized script!!!

We are local lifelong Padres fans but had never taken the tour of Petco Park. We learned so much about the team and the city. Rudy, another local lifelong Padres fan, was a fantastic tour guide! We stood behind home plate and watched the entire Padres batting practice. It was a treat to see the players close up, joking around before the game. We also got to go a lot of otherwise restricted places in the park. And again, Rudy was so accommodating and informative. Highly recommended!
