Cool spot on the edge of the cliffs to watch a sunset. Located south of Mission Beach in San Diego. Locals and tourists show up with blankets and dinner to hang out and watch the sun go down. Lots of space available to spread out and a few walking trails for hikers and dog owners.

This is my favorite place in the entire world. If you go and sit on the edge of the cliffs and just listen to the ocean it will bring you pure peace. I have spent many days there enjoying the sites and sounds so i highly encourage you to take some time and make your way to my idea of... More

The place is perfectly aligned to watch the sunset! It could not be any better, it's pretty close to a bus stop which makes life easier. The houses around are very nice to see as well!

My wife and I make it a point to visit the Sunset Cliffs everytime we visit beautiful San Diego. It's an almost mystical moment watching the sun set across the Pacific Ocean. It's a great time to reflect and just unwind.

Great place to watch the sunset and even do a little hike. Stairs go down to the water so you can explore. Even saw some adventourous surfers. This and La Jolla have been my favorite spots to visit in San Diego so far!

Just beautiful, strolling along the cliff walk, with lots to see...the beautiful blue ocean, the varied bird life and the magnificent sea lions basking in the sun or swimming in the surf. You can also watch the many surfers, enjoying the waves.

We caught a bus and then walked not far to the Cliffs! It was so beautiful! Hills, palm trees and the ocean! The sunset was spectacular and we walked along the entire length of Sunset Cliffs! You can see so many cool things, like caves, natural land bridges, rocks in the middle of the water! Absolutely spectacular!

The sunset views are awesome. We arrived an about an hour before sunset, just to allow ample time to park and find our spot. The entire stretch of beach and roadside was well kept and maintained. There was special attention to safety, both along the cliffs and street. Again the sunset views are awesome, it is a must see if... More

Well worth going to see and spend some time at. We went here twice and really enjoyed ourselves. WATCH out though for the crumbling cliffs.

They are called Sunset Cliffs for a reason. These cliffs are the best spot to watch sunset in San Diego. You can also surf or go cliff jumping.
