We stayed at Torrey Pines Hotel and thought walking through the Natural Reserve would be fun. We walked one mile on the gravel side street road to find out that most of the trails had been closed. We walked back:) At least we got in two miles...

My all time favorite local hiking spot. Take the Beach Trail and descend stairs down to beach. At low tide you can walk all the way into DelMar beach. During storms, the waves will crash up on to stairs.

If you like some exercise, the uphill walk is good. Free parking on PCH with little more walking. Few trails to choose from. Super ocean view. Some interesting vegetation. Reasonable way to spend couple hours at no expense.

Great hiking trails, scenic views, only experienced crowds while people were standing in line to wait for their pictures to be taken on potato chip rock.

This park is great for the whole family! You do not need to be an experienced hiker to enjoy these trails. The views are incredible and well worth a visit. You may find that it is tough to find parking (it is $20 for the day for non members) but it is worth the effort.

Great place for a hike for couples or family. Not strenuous and the views of the beach, Pacific and La Jolla are fantastic!

Even though the pines are suffering, it is still a very pleasant walk along the trails above the ocean.

This is a beautiful seascape overlooking the Pacific with improved walking trails to the beach through lush sedge and wild flowers. The rare Torrey Pine grows on the ridges of these hills. Views are spectacular.

For those who love hiking, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve provides miles and miles of trails, making this one of the great places in San Diego to take hikes. Hats, sunscreens, and plenty of water is strongly encouraged for those who plan to spend hours of hiking, especially when the sun is shining.
