Too busy for our family taste. wasn't able to enjoy the actual beach. The boardwalk is super busy as it is near the rides. was fun to walk it once.

Running parallel to the beach the boardwalk is a nice alternative for those who don't enjoy walking on sand. The walk is wide and easy to navigate. Great views.

This a wonderful place to people watch and the characters you will see on the boardwalk and the beach are as varied as your imagination. Let alone this is what California is all about, amazing weather, beautiful white sand beach, awesome ocean and beautiful sunsets.

Nice place to hang out and enjoy the beach. Be sure to go out beyond the shops and Belmont Park to choose from better eating places.

I'm not sure. I was going to go on public transit from Mission Bay to La Jolla but tried Uber for the first time so my trip out there was free and to get back it was $9. I'd get on the public transit page and look for... More

I'm not sure as I was there at lunch. I did walk the area around 8 pm and felt most places were closed.
