The stairs from the Convention Center provide the most festive entrance to Embarcadero Parks South and North. Embarcadero extends into the Bay and surrounds the beautiful Marriott Marquis Marina. The views in the Embarcadero Park are truly amazing. San Diego seen from Embarcadero is very...More

Short walk from our hotel. Great form of exercise and people watching. Plenty of restaurants. Can even rent a boat, jet skis etc.

We walked along the Embarcadero on a breezy sunny day and enjoyed some wonderful views. Apart from the sailing boats and cruisers, there was the Star of India, the enormous aircraft carrier (Midway museum), the Unconditional Surrender statue and monuments to sailors who gave their...More

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis and walked around this park during the evening. It was relatively quiet. You can hear a bunch of activity from the Navel base. In the dark, you can hear the seals carrying on. I fell in love with the...More

Convention/conferences can get a bit lame after a bit. This area is just the backside of the convention center with a couple of park areas, a few restaurants and of course the marina. It was never overly busy even with our sizeable convention going on....More

A pleasant place to wander along the harbour. Some nice shops and we enjoyed our lunch at the Cheesecake Factory which is in the small square.

I walked to the Embarcadero from our hotel in Union Square. Street parking is tough in any city but there are parking garages in the area.
