My wife and I took a private lesson this morning with Jacob. Neither of us have ever surfed. Jacob was so helpful and made the lesson so much fun. Highly recommend Him and this school.

This school is good for a private session as well as a group. I decided on a private session because I felt I needed someone's full attention being my first time surfing. Everyone at the school is super friendly and really make you feel relaxed. Brett was a really good instructor and if I had more time in San Diego... More

I took a lesson here (Pacific Beach location) in January 2016 and the next day I returned to rent a wetsuit and surfboard. I forgot my instructor's name but he was great and I had a good experience with them. I watched them teaching a family to surf and it looks like a good school for beginners.

My brother and myself have had a wonderful time surfing for a week in San Diego. After filling out our release forms and paying in the shop at Cass Street - which took about 5 minutes - we were ready to get down to the beach (parking is btw very easy all around Cass Street and free). Our coach -... More

They were well organized from the initial booking to our time on the beach with individual boxes set up with the properly sized wetsuit and rash guards. We had a large group, but there were a lot... From the moment we walked into the shop to the time we set our boards down and ended our lesson, the folks at San Diego Surf School were awesome. My 14 year old daughter and I took a 90 minute private lesson with Tyler and he was great. He did an awesome job of talking to us first about safety... More

Called on our way to Pacific Beach in the morning, and they were able to schedule my son for a 10:30 1&1/2 hour private surf lesson. Very friendly and helpful staff on the phone / in the store . My son's instructor was Gabe, and he was excellent . My son had a blast and learned a lot .
