We spent fun 3.5 hours exploring the quality exhibits. There is a lot of airplane, jet, space, and military history packed inside. The docents were quite helpful in explaining exhibits. Many interactive exhits for kids.

Great museum for those like me whose knowledge of the history of flight is limited. The exhibition is well curated with interesting displays, films, interactive stuff (!) and brilliant models. I loved the displays of the men behind the names (Boeing, Cessna etc), the history of Black Americans in flight, the commercial companies who opened up the skies in the 1950s and the story of Montgomery. Best of all was the Lindbergh exhibit explaining the part played by San Diego and the map showing the route to Paris. The only disappointment was the 3D film which was way too short after we had waited 30 minutes to enter the cinema! Highly recommend.

We pipped in late afternoon to this amazing museum. The ford building itself is spectacular, but inside, the exhibits were aomething else. To see the Apollo 9 space capsul was mind blowing and the aircaft displays were so welk peesented. The interactive elements brough history to life! This has to be a nust visit location, set in the spectacular Balboa Park.

This is a great place to bring the kids if you are in San Diego come including Balboa Park. Adult tickets are $28 and kids are $22. But you can get half price in February for museums, including this one. But even at full price, this is worthwhile. There are plenty of interactive things to do for children of all ages. And it is very educational. Plenty of large aircraft to view. Also, there is a motion simulator, that is not on like star tours in Disneyland and it is free. All in all the very enjoyable experience.

This was a most enjoyable museum to visit. Although small, they have a large collection of planes and do a wonderful job highlighting the history of aviation. The docents were amazing, so knowledgeable and eager to share what they knew. We really enjoyed speaking with all of them. I highly recommend visiting it when you are in Balboa park .

Went with my daughter. It was pretty fun. Kinda pricey though. $50+ for an adult and student? I guess it was free parking so that helped. I liked the commercial airlines memorabilia and the aviation wings collection. Fun displays. Our favorite was the theatre that had the 3D movies with seat movement. Pretty cool. We spent about 1.5 hours there, I think that was enough. Not overly crowded as it was supposed to rain but I would hate to see it on a weekend. The replica planes outside were also cool. Would I come back? I probably would with grandkids as there are lots to look at.

This museum is such a gem! I work at NASA and have been to many air and space museums, this is one of the best! So many great interactive exhibits in the space section. My kids loved it! Highly recommend!
