We missed this attraction the last time we visited San Diego because our trip didn't include a Sunday. I wasn't going to miss it this time. Although there wasn't a huge crowd, plenty of people enjoyed an hour of lovely music. There were plenty of...More

Everyone visiting San Diego should take in this experience. It's so unique. My only reason for giving a 4/5 review is because I was not a fan of the music selected. In addition to solo organ pieces, an opera quality tenor sang, Italian, of course....More

This venue is a throwback to the days when most cities had some sort of municipal organ with frequent concerts. The added feature here is that you get to sit outdoors in sunny San Diego. The atmosphere is fun--not stuffy like an organ concert in...More

The Spreckels outdoor organ is the world's largest fully outdoor organ. If you are into organ music, or appreciate great music on a fantastic instrument in a glorious setting, this is for you. Check the schedule for concerts - during the summer they are every...More

Was in Balboa park on a nice Saturday afternoon. I don't know if it was a recording or a "player organ" driving the pipes, but it sounded like the actual organ. It took a minute to realize they were playing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. There were...More
