Although there is only a 1 mile distance between San Diego and Coronado, the bridge is 2 1/4 miles long and curved. Why ? Because they had to make sure the freighters could pass beneath it. If the bridge had been made straight, it would...More

One of the coolest bridges ever. Very tall and very scary for those who have fears of heights and such. Be prepared to make quick decisions as far as traffic. The lanes aren't super wide either. See you on the other side lol

Travelled to Coronado last summer. Didn't really do much there. Walked around the Marina a bit and checked out the Coronado hotel.

The Coronado Bridge that connects San Diego with North Island/Coronado creates a graceful C across the skyline. Whether viewed up close from the top floor of the Central Library (downtown) or from afar -- Pt. Loma -- this structure graces the horizon.

The bridge is very impressive and very high. The view is amazing and it is one of those things you have to drive over it to fully appreciate it.

Beautiful, high rising bridge with gorgeous views of the city on the way down. Saw a ship going under.
