Not a big museum. When we went it had about 8 small exhibits. Here are the options: be lectured to about how racist you are, or be made to feel horribly guilty about the animals you eat, or be made to feel bad because many...More

Not really a place for young kids. They had a phenomenal Egypt exhibit and we loved the secrets exhibit and cannibal exhibit, however not alot for our youngest child to enjoy. She was bored while we were all engaged. Just might consider the age group...More

We enjoyed this unique museum, especially the Post Secret Exhibit which displayed all the secrets that everyone had submitted on post cards. Some were funny and others were extremely sad. Also enjoyed the exhibition about race through the ages. Interesting place to visit.

My son wanted to see the Cannibals exhibit. It was confusing figuring out the pricing as we were told different things by the balboa park visitors bureau and the museum. You would think that the cannibal exhibit would be gory, but it wasn’t. It was...More

I was actually excited about coming here, and then left wondering "where's the beef?" Actually the best part of the visit was going up in the California Tower, the docents did a great job with that and of course there were beautiful views. But the...More

The museum of man offers many insights into the human race. The exhibit on race will make you re-examine the way you look at people around you. The Beerology exhibit restores my faith in and love of beer. The special exhibit on Cannibals is worth...More

Hi--well good news and bad news. Museums are free to resident's on Tuesdays, but the cannibal exhibit is extra charge even on free days. Good luck!
