Cool pier..... long pier! I was here a few months back and it was closed. I was happy to see it open this time so took a leisurely walk to the end. Stopped at the cafe for fries on the way back!

The pier is AWESOME - it's the people that abuse the use of the pier! We were there when it re-opened last weekend and had to dodge bikes, skateboards and dogs. OH YEAH! It's posted in several areas NO BIKES, NO SKATEBOARDS AND NO DOGS. Little kids are on the pier and families should be able to use the pier safely.

We were here on Saturday. Good luck finding a parking spot. We spent alot of time watching the birds and the surfers. There is a small restaurant/gift shop at the end of the pier. There are also restrooms. There are jewelry and food vendors along the beach. Great time.

Nice long pier with excellent views. It’s and it’s clean! You might need to walk past homeless getting to the stairs, but they keep to themselves. My family of 4 (including two teenagers) did not worry about our safety. We all enjoyed it!

This is an ok pier- a bit hard to find as it is not off the main street but off a residential street to the side. And, a bit of a seedy crowd on the pier as one would expect.

The pier itself is filled with things to see. Watch the surfers, rent a fishing pole, watch the pelicans, grab a bite to eat, or watch people.

The pier is made of concrete, so walking is easy. Homeless people do tend to congregate on the pier, which can be uncomfortable.

Be sure to explore underneath the pier as well, especially at low tide. There are tide pools and the rocks are easy to walk out on to explore. Sunsets are gorgeous and views are amazing.

A nice long pier, great for photos at sunset.
Lots of people around, mainly young hippies and druggies. There was a guy freaking out on the pier, running, shouting, swearing, it was a bit disconcerting! At one point I thought he was going to jump off the edge!
But there were plenty of young women jogging alone so it must be a fairly safe place.

Enjoyed taking a morning walk on this large concrete pier. It is the perfect spot to watch the surfers at Ocean Beach. The pier is shaped like a T and is a popular place for fishing. There is a restaurant, gift shop, and public bathrooms(not the cleanest, but not the worst.)

I thought the pier was going to be something like the one at Huntington Beach. But it's not. I expected there to be restaurants or something out on it, but it's a very plain pier. Straight out to look over the ocean which is nice. There are people all out there. You could see the surfers. And people were all around. But nothing special.

This is a pretty long pier! It has a restaurant and gift shop about mid-way to the end. It's shaped like a "T" and has good views of the ocean and surfers. Lots of people fish there, and there are sinks along the pier to clean hands and fish. If we had time we would have tried the restaurant, and will do that if we return. It's a nice way to spend an hour, walking along and seeing the sights.
