Public and private 3 hour sails aboard Stars & Stripes USA-11, the authentic 1992 America's Cup racing yacht sailed by Dennis Conner. Take the helm, grind the winches, or just hang on as this amazing high performance racer zips around San Diego Bay at twice the speed of the average sailboat. A truly unique and memorable experience. Soft drinks, water, peanuts, & pretzels are provided at no cost. You are welcome to bring your own camera, but a crew member will be taking complimentary photos & videos of all the action on board as well as the sights of San Diego Bay. After the sail, complimentary refreshments are served while viewing the days activities on our flat screen TV. The photos & videos will then be posted on Google Web Albums for free access and use. The total cost (no additional taxes or fees) of $125 for adults & $75 for children (5-18) is the best value and most exciting venue on San Diego Bay.

Sailing the Stars and Stripes was a thrill! You get to experience the joy of sailing on an historical boat that goes fast but feels very stable and safe. Even if one is not an experienced sailor, this is the thing to do in San Diego! The crew was amazing, including Bee, who pointed out all of the interesting sites... More

Sailing the Stars and Stripes is magical on many levels. You are sailing on a historical boat on a beautiful bay. Luckily our day was brightly sunny and we sailed by the Maritime Museum of San Diego, almost under the prow of the USS Midway, past the skyline of San Diego, and the US Navy fleet with dolphins and seals... This was our 6th chartered sail during the past year, all in different regions on different style boats, and Stars and Stripes USA 11 was our favorite of all! Each sailing experience was unique and enjoyable, and allowed for me to participate in the sail - which I love to do. This 78 foot boat requires more active sailing and... More

I have always wanted to turn those grinders on an America's Cup boat...got to do that. Got to steer the boat...incredible. Pete somehow gets phenomenal pictures that are free. The captain and crew really enjoy sailing and make it fun for experienced sailors and novices. Don't miss this opportunity...it is incredible.

I don't sail. But this was such a joyful experience, on a sunshiny day with a crew that couldn't be more welcoming, informative and all of whom made an effort to make the first timers among us - of which there were 15+ - comfortable. Even had a chance at the helm and didn't screw it up. This was the... More

Great time for non sailors or those who race. The crew was very attentive and nice. Had the best time and beautiful views of the San Diego downtown harbor area.

This was such a wonderful experience! We aren't sailors but found the USA-11 and crew to be accommodating and entertaining. A fantastic way to see the bay, skyline, and all the military ships in a new way. It was a day to be remembered!

Glorious afternoon sailing San Diego bay on an Americas Cup winner! Crew is fantastic. Great opportunity to tour the bay in a quiet sailboat instead of loud motoring and loudspeakers. We had all ages on our sail and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

If you have ever sailed on anything; this is the BEST. EXTREMELY UNUSUAL-A storm came up out of NO WHERE at the end of the sail: rain and unbelievable winds. I have sailed and tipped over enough to know I was not that fearful of "dumping" most everyone was NOT wearing a life preserver as it was a gorgeous day.... More

Enjoyed the history Lynn shared, and was pretty neat to be on an Americas cup boat. Was a perfect day weather wise and got to see a bit of San Diego that I wouldn't of otherwise seen.
