We went here on recommendation of friends. Read mixed reviews about the place but thought we would try it out and although I expected cheap corny Mexican gift shops and eateries I was impressed. Probably the second cleanest place in San Diego and all the staff in the shops dress in character. Gives the place an authentic feel. Could probably... More

We found a parking spot right off. Yippee. Daughter took us around here to experience the history of the region, and even better, the foods. We had a blast. My favorite part were the plants in the walking area.

We wouldn't have gone if it wasn't the first stop the San Diego Urban a Adventure Quest. Compared to other Old or Western Towns in our home state, Old Town San Diego is well preserved and cheerful. Cute shops and a great place to immerse yourself in Southern California history.

The old town is good reachable by tram. A lot of souvenir shops and pretty expensive restaurants (for what you get). Nice place to see but not special.

Old town is a must to go to when visiting San Diego. It's a lovely quaint village dating back to the 1800 with lots of history, Mexican restaurants, pubs and curio shops all painted lovely bright colors. Brilliant atmosphere. The trolley starts in old town and does a round trip to all the must see's and do's.

Parking was a challenge, but the food and the atmosphere was worth it. Kids got tired fast, because it's not set up for them.
