A few more rides for kids, a 18-hole mini golf course, and a few more established eateries. The Arcade room is still there, but a lot of the machines were old and malfunctioning. Parking is still free (if you can find a spot), so it's worth a stop if you want to be close to the beach in a carnival vibe.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 December 2023
- AvidTravelerDeBary, Florida241 contributionsOld School Beachside Amusement Park FeelWe had a great time at Belmont Park. While there are not an overwhelming amount of attractions to do there are enough things to keep you busy for 2-3 hours. Rides are maintained impeccably and nearly every area was kept clean and tidy. There is a good mix of indoor/outdoor activities of all different types. Tips: Buy the City Pass to save some money which comes with unlimited rides. Get there early. Parking is free and if you get there when they open the lines are extremely short for the first few hours. You can maximize your ride time early on and then enjoy the mini-golf, carnival games, and dining establishments during the afternoon. Also, there are some restaurants located on the street adjacent to the park. We walked and ate lunch over there savings some money but also having a great time with little to no wait. You can also walk the boardwalk outside the park, visit the beach area, and also some of the gift shops right outside the venue. This place is perfect for a good weather day! The only thing that was kind of sad and a little off the whole day was that none of the park employees seemed happy. They were all pretty miserable and seemed to have little regard for smaller children or helping out those that needed a little extra time boarding the rides due to an impairment or disability. Made me wonder if the working conditions are poor and that was the reason for the long faces or if this is just the new reality of how customer facing roles act nowadays. We noticed this across the entire staff from ticketing to gaming so it wasn’t just a “one off” type of vibe.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 December 2023
- jvacation1Massachusetts6 contributionsBelmont Park WEEKDAY reviewWe visited Belmont Park on a Thursday so they were “upgrading” the park. So because of this not all of the rides were open. There were maybe six things for us to choose from like laser tag, mini golf, bumper cars, etc. The good thing about going on these days is there was not a lot of people. We got a thirty dollar bracelet that let us go on unlimited rides for the day, on busy days they are sixty dollars. It would be better if more of the rides were open on upgrading days though. There was not a whole lot to go through with limited rides, shops, and restaurants. Overall I would recommend going to Belmont Park, but if you go on a weekday, be prepared for not a lot of options.Thank you for your review! This isn't always the case, and I am so sorry you caught us in a day we had closures. Safety is our number one priority and our team was busy making sure all rides were good to go! - do_the_freddyLos Angeles, California323 contributionsLots of Fun!This review happened in July 2024. My wife and I were in San Diego for a weekend gateway, and we went to Belmont Park for visit. This was not our first time. We came last year in 2023. The park is small, but it has a lot. They have plenty of rides both for small kids and teenagers. You can pay per ride or get a ride pass that covers all the rides. They also have an arcade, and you get play for prizes. My wife and I got on the Giant Dipper Roller-coaster and let me tell you something it was a great experience. Its fast, it has sharp turns, and its rough. We both came out in pain, but it was fun and worth it. You have to do it. The food stands are typical of what you would find at a fair (i.e. pretzels, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, chips). The food was nothing great, but it was ok. They have plenty of tourist shops that sale San Diego branded merchandise, clothing, and beach supplies. They have plenty of bathrooms and they are clean. The park is also right next door a beach so you can visit the parka and then the beach. Parking can be an issue. I recommend coming early and stay for few hours. It will take at least 4 hours to do everything in the park. I recommend if you are in San Diego you stop by and give Belmont Park a chance. It fun and worth a visit.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 July 2024
- Rorojo79Chicago, Illinois108 contributionsA Cool fall day at Belmont parkAll I can say is that it will remind you of carnivals from your childhood. It was nice that parking was free so we didn’t have to spend a dime to check it out. We didn’t do any rides because we are in our late 50s but we did have a lot of fun in the game room. After that we went to the beach, Location is everything. Worth the visit but don’t expect too much.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 September 2024

Our kids had a great time at Belmont Park. It was a good place to hang out and take in the beach. It was free to park and to get into the park area. There was easy access to the beach where the kids also had a great time. Depending on the ages of your kids you need to see whether a pass or individual ride tickets are more worth it.

This was my daughter's favorite attraction. We could've spent all day here if we didnt have a flight to return back to Florida. There is so much to do. I highly advise getting the all you can ride pass. The only negative was the go karts not being included. The track is small and the time is limited for $10 additional. Other than that we loved it and cannot wait to return

We spent an afternoon here and had a blast! We knew exactly what we wanted to ride, and what we didn't care about, so were able to use tickets wisely. There is no fee for admission, and parking is free, so we had a great time as a couple for a total of $60.

Plenty to do , price is reasonable for what you get. Plenty of rides and attractions- my kids are 7-9 and was perfect although there are Adult rides too.
The food was excellent..The Pizza is one of the best I ever had ..about $20...the Burgers etc were good too ..
Parking was a bit tight but there is extra parking round the side if you can't park out front.

The main attraction is the old classic coaster, but there's a number of smaller rides and experiences (like lazer maze, zip wires etc). There's amusements too. Plenty to entertain the family in a small area, so watch you don't find yourself spending more than you intended!
Queues weren't bad even on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening. Didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for anything, except for buying tickets. For some reason there was no queue when we first went but when we went to buy more a 20 minute queue.

This is what I imagined California would look and feel like. Padking is free and if it is full there is a big public free lot 1 block away. Strolling down the "boardwalk" (it's paved) was fun. Plenty of places to eat or rent skates, bikes, boogie boards, etc.

Hello, I was wondering if this attraction is free. Do I need to pay to ride any rides? I am working on planning a trip with children, and I am looking for as many free activities as possible! If anyone has any further suggestions, please let me know!

Written 21 December 2017
Hello! Yes we have all of the items you listed! We are a small amusement park on the beach with several sit-down and fast service restaurants. This includes pizza, sushi and much more!
We also have many different rides ( 12 in total ) and attractions, including our historic wooden roller coaster, our new 7 dimension video attraction Xanadu and even mini golf.
We are right on the beach so the swimming is great although it is a bit cold this time of year!
Hope to see you soon!

How is the parking to the park or the beach? Cost?
Written 18 September 2017
We found parking easily behind the amusement park. Come earlier in the day and the parking is not an issue.
Written 21 October 2017
No cost, unless you want to do something special, like ride on a roller-coaster.
