More
Founded in 1916, the Zoo has been an icon in San Diego for nearly 100 years—and an absolute must-see in Southern California. Spend the day monkeying around in our tropical oasis as you visit beautiful habitats that are home to gorillas, eagles, tigers, sun bears, Asian leopards, rare reptiles, a palette of colorful birds, and more. Visit the Australian Outback to delight in our colony of 24 koalas, and travel along Panda Trek to experience giant pandas and other animals that share their bamboo forest habitat. Go back in time through Elephant Odyssey to discover what animals used to roam Southern California and see what the elephants are up to. Enjoy a guided tour on a double-decker bus or the scenic view from the Skyfari aerial tram, and dine in the peaceful surroundings of Albert's Restaurant. Discover the wonders of wildlife with animal encounters, interactive experiences, and keeper chats. A leader in animal care and conservation, the San Diego Zoo is at the heart of the San Diego experience.

We live in San Diego and have zoo passes. We attend the zoo 2 or 3 times per year as well as the Wild Animal Park. They are continuously changing/developing the habitats to make them better for the animals in their care. June through September...More

We got to the zoo around 10:00 a.m. and had no trouble finding parking. Relatively short line to pay the high admission prices. We hopped on the aerial ride to get to the back of the park. As always, the animals were well-displayed, particularly the...More

This is a beautiful Zoo - still a zoo, but a genuine effort to recreate the animals' habitat. Take the tour for a quick overview and then set out on your own.

We had a wonderful day with the kids. It's nice to go with older kids, I think we enjoyed the zoo and each other more.

Zoo in San Diego has many animals around the world. Absolutely worth of visit :) I think the best is Panda. All the animals have good surroundings to live.

I had not realized the size of the San Diego Zoo until I arrived. Be prepared to get there first and leave last. Otherwise, you are not going to see all the things that you want to see. If they are offering a two-day pass,...More

Best zoo we've ever been too. The animal enclosures are nice, big and well kept. The zoo is hilly, so wear good walking shoes. We didn't buy any upgrades to our ticket and it included the aerial tram ride. Good selection of animals. They are...More
