The Star of India is the most interesting ship at the Maritime Museum. The other ships weren't of much interest to us.

The Star of India is the oldest iron-hulled merchant ship still sailing, when in dock (nearly always) it is a floating museum. For the cost of $18 ($12 for seniors and $8 for youth), the ship is open for a tour. An interesting fact is...More

In addition to this fascinating sailing ship with a long history, there are smaller ships, boats, submarines, and large indoor exhibit areas. All a nautical lover would want!

It is a great feeling to be suddenly on board of such a historic vessel. The tickets are $16 for adults and you get to see other Maritime Museum ships as well. The curators are excellent source of information. Do not hesitate to ask questions.

An amazing old 19th century sailing barque, built during the American Civil War. In excellent condition (they actually sail it at least once a year). Stunning to stand on the deck and realize it went around the world 21 times!

For $16, it was not just the Star of India which you can see inside but 6 more ships/submarines docked by the pier. It's interesting with different kinds of ships and rich history that goes with a trip inside. However, you may need some motion...More
