This whole area---the Collier Homestead and the state park---are great to visit and explore. Your first stop should be the modern Visitor Center which is well designed and upscale in appearance, with beautiful wooden decks and walkways leading you to wonderful overlooks of the area. Very sweet and nostalgic hike. Lovely old homestead. Pleasant hike for a lovely view. Peaceful. Quiet.

The Tyler Bend Park is a great place to stop by, camp and hike. Check out Collier Homestead than take a beautiful easy hike to lookout on the amazing Buffalo National River.

A young couple hired my husband to perform a wedding here ,plus as a photographer it is a wonderful place to get some great photo.It is located in Tyler Bend State Park ,right on hwy 65 >Be sure when you are in the park to drive a few hundred more feet and visit the visitor information center,and walk down to... This cabin is located near the river. It gives one an idea of what it was like to live in a more primitive time.
