Great guides - knowledge

Great tour around the city. Driver/Guides are very knowledgeable and spoke non-stop for 2 hours. The ride through traffic and narrow streets was amazing on its own.

Bunker was great, trolley was warm and comfortable on a very wet cold snowy day only got off once near Faneuil Hall/State House for lunch and shopping. Even with snow and low visibility at some points, I still felt like I got a great quick tour of the city with only a 5-6 hours before I had to be at... More

We arrived in Boston 2 days prior to a huge blizzard warning and wanted to cram everything into one day and get back south. This was the way to do it! My reasons for only a 4 rating are as follows: 1. The stop right outside of North Station has been moved 1 block up and no one gave us... More

We hopped on and off for two days and loved every minute. The drivers were all very entertaining, funny, serious and informative. I recommend that you do this tour on arrival in Boston and find out lots of other interesting places to visit along the way. After the tour we used it to get back to our hotel and to... More

We took the Old Town Trolley Tour in early March and found it to be interesting and enjoyable. It is a good way to see many of the sights in Boston in one day. Our tour guide, Captain Mandy, was fantastic. His energetic, entertaining, comedic, and knowledgeable narration made the tour very enjoyable. If your in Boston take this tour.... More

Great way to get around and learn tidbits of information that you would not on your own. You can hop on and hop off and all the drivers are comical, informative and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend Old Town Trolley Tours.

We took the Trolley on Friday and Saturday February 24 and 25th. The weather was amazing - 70 deg. The first day we went around the complete circuit as we had another commitment. The second day we made a number of stops. The Boston Tea Party was a highlight. It is important to know that if the tour starts at... More

After walking a lot on our first day we decided to take the trolley tour. We had 3 guides all good including their historic knowledge and fun information about the city. We also go the tea museum and old state house museum admission with our tickets which was a great bonus and certainly made it worth it. Highly recommend

If you buying trolley tickets to get around the city you will be fine. If you riding for the tour do not get 9n Gonzo's bus. He is rude and not a very good guide. We heard more about other peoples driving than we did good information and the stupid black and white pictures he would hold up were useless... More

What a GREAT tour!!! My partner and I travel often and always take advantage of the hop on/off tours, but this experience was the best we've had yet! We had about 3 tour guides on Sunday 2/19/17 however Michaelangelo was by far the best! When I say the BEST, I truly mean it. I don't normally write reviews but he... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
