So we knew it was going to be a busy trip, and we were prepared. I had with me my almost 2-year old daughter who is very very well behaved and my sister-in-law. We boarded the boat and went to the top even though it was scorching hot so that we could find a spot that was out of the... More

Went on the high speed catamaran and took about just over an hour to get there. We ended up having to sit right at the back of the boat opposite the restrooms but it was a fantastic place to sit so we didn't even try to move to the top or the front - out of the wind and spray... More

We booked our cruise 4 days in advance without any issues. Simple process and they offered military discounts. We arrived later than expected but were able to board our 10am cruise. This particular boat was jam packed with people. No seats available and we were told we would stand the entire time...standing for 3 hours wasn't our idea of a... More

We had an unbelievable whale watching trip. The boat was quite comfortable. We were able to see at least 20 whales. We saw minke whales, humpbacks, and huge fin whales. They told us never to expect to see that much activity if we return for a future trip. The naturalists on board were excellent. They were at least as excited... More

The whale watch tour was excellent. It's a 3 hour tour and is fun. Visibility of whales is guaranteed, if you don't see a whale you get a "rain cheque " which means you can take the tour another day without charge. It become cold if you are on the deck so good to take something warm

Well the weather was perfect. Seas were calm. Crew was very friendly. Just the boat trip itself was great. Views of Boston skyline were beautiful. Photo ops a plenty. Oh but the main attraction. Whales!!! We saw plenty. Rolling with flippers skyward. Breeching right at the side of the boat. Grand kids were wide eyed (me 2😎). Just a trip... More

We went on a REALLY hot day. No clouds. In the 90s. We were melting waiting in line to get on the ship. It still was cool on the ship (half our group wore sweaters during the boat ride; half did not). We lined up early to ensure getting the seats we wanted - we had a big group and... More

First time we tried a whale watching trip and it was definitely worth it. The boats was clean and fast. The naturalist did a great job explaining things, though I wished the speakers were louder. And most important of all, we saw eight different whales. A few alone, a couple together and a group of three. We saw a solitary... More

Our tour was absolutely fantastic!! I got a spot on the lower level by the railing as soon as my group boarded. It was a long time to stand (almost 90 mins to get to the whale spotting grounds), but so worth it. One whale came so close to the boat that I felt the spray from her spout!! There... More

A high speed boat with very clean and friendly staff! I would recommend for those who have small children, we went with our daughter who 9yo and son who is 4yo. They loved the experience and were very pleased because we saw humpback whales feeding and witnessed almost all the whale behaviors while feeding. I love the ocean and this... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
