Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.

This park leads access to the North End. It definitely connects people to historic places in the city. Kids can enjoy and run around the playground (no swings though). Not far from Fanueil Hall.

We went here based on all the pictures and articles describing Christopher Columbus Park as an amazing Christmas lights display throughout the park and the trellis.
Well the trellis was pretty - but otherwise the park is boring especially at night. Spent 5 minutes here and took a few pictures.

No so special park. It has some green arcades, but furthermore it doesn’t have a nice atmosphere or specialities. You can skip it during your visit to Boston.

Came for a morning visit. Their is a decent playground area for smaller kids, a nice garden arch walkway for strolling, and several benches and picnic space options. Theirs a small monument and nice views of the water front from one side of the park. Great to have lunch or take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

My husband and I loved sitting on a bench at this park and cooling off on a hot July day. We enjoyed the sights around us. It is beautiful to see city views and waterfront views as well. It has some beautiful views and greenery all around it. I would say if you are within a 30 min radius then it is worthwhile to venture and see this gem of a park! If you are a bit further out... maybe see one of the other beautiful parks Boston has to offer.

Nice walk through from waterfront to North end at night with blue lights on the canopy and white yellow lights on the surrounding trees.

The park is 4 & 1/2 acres , located just two blocks north of the new England Aquarium. The main exhibit-in my opinion-is he Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Garden, surrounded by a square iron fence. Flowers were very beautiful for a September afternoon.

In the parks center from the southwest to the northeast for about one hundred in two sections is a wooden frame structure covered with leaves & vines, which is called the Trellis At Christopher Columbus Park.

To the Northeast end-which I didn't view-is the Christopher Columbus children's Playground and the Massachusetts Beirut Memorial. Being on the time of day are two nearby restaurants-on the NE end- Joe's Waterfront & Boston Seal Loft.

I didn't see any street parking. I first visited the aquarium , parking at the Boston Harbor Garage, at 299 Milk Street, then walking north on Atlantis Ave. to the park, which was at most 10-12 minutes. Park hours are 24/7 , seven days.

Overall a visit is well worth a person's time. Grass was well mowed. A visitor could walk, jog or walk the dog. I counted at least 12 benches on the southwest section, most likely the same in the northeast end.

We visited the park because they had holiday lights on display, unlike many of the other areas that decided to not do it this year because of the pandemic. They had a nice display and it was worth the short walk from the Faneuil Hall area

Very relaxing park with many benches to sit and a lot of spacious green lawn to sit on. A perfect place for your dogs as well. Go there late afternoon to evening hours (before it gets dark) and relax just looking at people and the water (and boats). We parked at a garage next to Quincy Market and after visiting Quincy Market and we just walked across a street to get to this waterfront park with many Instagram shots. Only a few short blocks away from most of famous Little Italy restaurants in North End. We walked to the park and relax before walking over to a restaurant in North End. Then after the dinner, we walked over to this waterfront park again and sit down before we went back to our parking garage. Not crowded either.
