We did a Cambridge and Harvard tour run by David P and it was superb! His knowledge of the area, it's history and the university are incredible. He interacts with the group so well and included us in some of his stories. He even suggested some great places for us to visit and eat at locally. A fun, informative tour.... More

We did a couple of the tours offered. We had Brian's Freedom Trail Tour, which was very informative and fun. He really has a passion for history and lots of props and enthusiasm to help make the events here come alive! We also took the Harvard Tour which was very interesting too. Both guides really are very knowledgeable and helpful... More

Excellent tour of Beacon Hill and crime in Boston. David was an expert story teller coupled with incredible history. It was a very enjoyable 2 hours despite the heavy rain. Who knew that John Kerry came from the Forbes empire, and has a house in Beacon Hill....plus all the other gruesome stories....e.g. a book made out of human skin....

I did the Freedom Trail tour with David P. last week-end, and discovered Boston, its history and its atmosphere. David is an amazing guide, he knows Boston inside out and is very engaging. Our group even reenacted a few key historic scenes, it was so much fun. I would highly recommend this tour.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
