The Rose Kennedy Greenway, a roof garden atop a highway tunnel, is a contemporary public park in the heart of Boston. The non-profit Greenway Conservancy maintains, programs, finances, and improves the 1.5-mile Greenway on behalf of the public. The Greenway welcomes millions of visitors annually, and the Conservancy has won numerous awards for our organic landscape care, public art, and programming.

knowing the elevated interstate running through town it's phantastic to see it being transformed into a green oasis (even knowing the cost of the "deep tunnel")

Making lemonade out of lemons. This used to be a noisy and smelly highway and after the Big Dig is a beautiful public space.

We wandered around here after a trip to the Boston Tea party. A pleasant green area is the middle of town to sit and chill and have lunch from one of the many chuck wagons.
