Boston is one of my top three favorite cities, and the Back Bay section of it adds to one of the reasons it has earned this designation. It is an incredibly charming section of Boston, is easily walkable, and offers lots of dining, drinking and...More

Wonderful for shopaholics of high end establishments. Options for eating out are good too. Easy to get into downtown area.

Backbay doesn't have the same historic attractions as North End does but it still has a lot for tourists with Boylston, Newbury streets for window shopping and the Public Library and the Trinity Church for paying visits. The convention center, sky observatory, many hotels and...More

This is "Old Boston" at its best. Beautiful brownstone buildings both residential & commercial. Lots of wonderful restaurants, shops, and sidewalk cafes. Very European!

I suspect that this area of Boston is mainly off the tourist trail, but we were fortunate enough to be taken there on a Boston PhotoWalk tour. It is a quaint and old part of Boston righ in history and expensive and exclusive. There are...More

The trains were easy to negotiate making the Back Bay convenient to all of our destinations. It is difficult to find lodgings in the historic area -- making Back Bay the best best.

You get a little tired looking at all the immensely expensive brownstone homes, but it is an attractive area. For really nice view, go over to the Charles River - you need to find one of the bridges over Storrow Drive to get there.

Great place to hang around in Boston. It´s magical. You will find A LOT of trees, typical Boston streets and places where you can breathe fresh air.

After a full day of meetings I look forwrad to heading out for a run around the Charles River. The skyline views are pretty in each direction. The path is well lit with plenty of people walking, running, or riding bikes. I always felt safe.

Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the

skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock

Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques
