It's gone down hill over the last thirty years or so. The bookstores are gone. It's a disappointment. Hope it improves soon!

While Downtown Crossing is undergoing some changes, it's still a fun place to meet your friends or just go shopping. The one store that's sorely missed is Filene's Basement.

Not so much anymore. Since Filenes and a couple of other major anchors to the area, looking sparse and neglected.

This is a shopping hub not far from Boston Common. Since it lost Filene's Basement it is of less interest but still worth the visit if you like to shop.

statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

There isn't really any free parking in the area, mostly metered or parking garages.
