We ended our rain-drenched weekend in Boston with a trip to Harpoon brewery. Definitely take the tour and learn all about the brewing process and all the different types of beers they offer. Afterwards we hit up the tap room and chowed down on the delicious pretzels! (Get the salted with buffalo dip & mustard!) Great for a big group... More

The beer was very good. The staff was pleasant and knew the beer line up really well. The soft pretzels were great! My only suggestion would be to allow customers to build their own samplers rather than having pre selected ones.

I loved this place! I was a short walk from our hotel on the seaport. We visited at 11:00 Sunday morning because past reviews said the tours book up. We had to wait till 12 but that was fine. The beer hall is very nice and festive. Big variety of Harpoon Beers. We took the tour and had Colin and... More

Fun place filled with well behaved, jovial brew drinkers. Cheers by the water. Harpoon is serious about beer and their fans know it and appreciate it. I would love to see them offer a limited menu of sausages and fresh buns but they do have some terrific pretzels. Bar service is on the slow side but the brews are worth... More

Really enjoyed the tour and it was interesting to hear the story behind how the brewery came to be. Great fun tasting the various beers - wish they sold the cider overseas. One minor point and it might just be me, did find one of the guides talked quite quick so was a little difficult to follow at times. Apart... More

Make sure to get here early on a Saturday or you will stand in line to even get in. Yet, it is worth the wait. I did not do a tour this time but still had a blast. The tours are much more interesting than any other brewery tour I have been on though. I had each of the three... More

We stopped here the Saturday afternoon after St Patty's day with my sisters bachelorette party. We waited almost an hour in line to get into the beer hall but we knew it would be crowded that day. Once inside it was a cool atmosphere to hang for a bit, every seat was taken but we were able to get a... More

Stopped into Harpoon on a quick weekend sightseeing tour of Boston. Did not have time for a tour but will definitely return for that next time. Myself and four friends had drinks and pretzels. It was crowded, but the front door was working crowd control and making sure it did not get past max capacity. We were able to find... More

We stopped in and enjoyed that they have three different flights of the beer they make (there are probably 20 on tap) and tried their pretzel. Make sure you try their blue cheese dip for the pretzel, it is less blue cheese and almost a hot wing dip. Also if you aren't used to the rules in MA they ID... More

We stopped by the beer hall for some beers and decided to take the tour. The beer hall is huge, and offers a wide selection of their beer. We both got samplers, which made trying different flavors easy. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The tour costs $5, but after the informative tour, you have a good amount of... More

Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
