Bunker/Breed's Hill must be the most celebrated defeat in American history. It proved that colonists could stand up to the greatest Army on the planet, the British Army. The monument is awesome, but the park center is lacking in artifacts. A cannon and few paintings....More

This is one of those places you read about and when you see it history comes alive. We started off walking up and just looking at the landscape imagining what it was like on that day all those years ago. You can walk up the...More

The monument and scene of the battle is set in a very upscale neighborhood. If you turn the wrong way left on Bunker Hill Street, you head into the projects. The signage directing visitors from I-93 and thru the side streets is poor. I had...More

But ... It is amazing. 100% you have to go. " This is the "Bunkers hill" we studied as kids. Historically fascinating site. Even if you don't climb it, go and appreciate it.

You don't come to see Breed's hill, you come to climb the Bunker hill monument. The north end of the Freedom Trail is here as well. There is plenty of free street parking in the area

5 Stars for the history of "Bunker Hill" 1 Star for the walk up the monument. It is steep, hot, and not worth it. I recommend just enjoying it from the outside. The Grounds are very special.
