Avoid this place - the music is painful, coupled with cold fries and disrespectful service.
After politely asking if we could turn down/switch the loud death metal music on a Sunday afternoon, the bartender called me entitled and proceeded to insult me.
I hope they open up something new soon. Dorchester deserves a better spot that doesn’t deride their customers.

The craft cider was very good. My jackfruit sammie was tasty but overly salty. The real disappointment was the hubs' brisket and collards. Both were inedible (too salty and too sweet) and he suspected the meat was not actually brisket. Worse, the BBQ window refused a refund on his returned food even though he'd only take a bite of each. We will not be returning, and it's too bad the BBQ partnership reflect poorly on the brewery.

Showed up at 4PM on a Sunday for BBQ and MOBA. Was told the kitchen "closed early for a staff party." No notice on the website which said open until 7pm. Beware of unannounced closures before you drive to Dorchester.

What an amazing staff, full of life and provide service with humor and smiles and an intimate knowledge of thier product. So many beers so little time.
Get your ass down to Boston and check this gem out.

2nd time stopping at Dorchester Brewery. We were advised to park on the street so we would not get towed out of the parking lot next door. Anyway, the brewery offers delicious cold brews! I found the BBQ to be some of the best North of the Southern border. Amazingly good BBQ, baked beans, mac & cheese & the best corn bread! A comfortable atmosphere with roof top seating or inside & outside as well. Nice view of the city.

This place is a must do for several reasons. First, the beer selection is off the chart. You can find almost anything you are looking for. Second is the food. The sandwich’s are even better than as they are described on the menu. Don’t miss out on the sides. The greens are home made with lots of love and the Mac & cheese will not disappoint. Last but not least you can stroll around the brewery and enjoy the Museum of Bad Art. The works are just what the museum is named. They also have a little explanation about each work, which may or may not help explain what you are seeing. All in all you will not be sorry you stoped by the Dorchester Brewery.

Jumped on a Hub bike (best way to get around Boston in a nice day) to try this well reviewed brewery. Trying local beer has been a tradition for our trips all across the US. Upon arrival I stepped into the bathroom and my early-40's wife went to place an order. Place was empty and the bartender came straight to take her order. Before being able to order, bartender asked for ID. Initially humorously flattered, my wife provided her Canadian Drivers Licence. 'Sorry, we can take out of state ID. State drinking laws. I might consider if you had a passport' She stared at him thinking he was joking. Nope, completely serious. 'Any place that has served you on your trip has done it illegally. We can't serve you here. In fact, only Massachusetts IDs or US passports are valid. Nothing else.' Walks away
My wife leaves bar and waves me over as I exit the washroom, describes the situation. I want to argue but being polite Canadians decide to take business elsewhere without a fuss and pedalled to a more inviting establishment.
Had ID checked a few spots on our long weekend trip. Never an issue. Crazy. I think they must be misinterpreting the laws. If you are from Out of State, stay away!

My daughter chose this place to have her party to celebrate her marriage. They were ready for us, let us decorate the function space, made us feel welcome and were very attentive to our needs. Despite the fact that the room is not closed off from the public was not a problem. We never felt like anyone was intruding on our space. It was easy to get service from the bar and the beers were awesome as well. We had it catered and they brewery gave the caters space to prepare the food in the brewery garage which worked out perfectly. It wasn't your typical place to have this kind of party but it was just what my daughter wanted. I would highly recommend the Dorchester Brewery for a private party/function.

On a road trip from Toronto, found Dorchester brewery, couldn't have been happier.
They don't have much in the way of food during the day, though apparently a food truck stops by in the early evening (the place is very new); the beers, however are fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Definitely stop by here if you're a beer lover in the city.

We went here for trivia night on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun. The Museum of Bad Art is also in the brewery and the comments that went along with the art was very funny. Service was great!

How’s parking near the brewery?
Written 31 January 2020
There is street parking on Mass. Ave. We parked about a block away. I think there is also parking on Columbia Road, but that intersection is very complicated.
