I recently went here for a convention and truth be told, I'm really not typically into orchestra music. However, the POPS were amazing. They kept it fun and light and played covers of a bunch of 50's-70's rock songs, and they had a bunch of Sinatra. It was amazing, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It doesn't hurt... We attended Pops Gospel Night last year and this year. We had orchestra seats which included the option to buy food and drinks at your table. Both concerts were enjoyable but I did enjoy the artists last year more than the performer in June 2016. So make sure that the main event will be an artist that you will appreciate.... More

I was in line at 7:30 am to get tickets for the Boston Pops Fourth of July concert. There was no problem securing entry when they officially opened at 9. The Boston-discovery-guide.com provided all the information that was needed. As long as you followed the guidelines, i.e. no backpacks, only plastic knives, etc. you got in without a problem. You... What an Experience! If you have never been to the Boston Pops firework spectacular, you are missing out! Half a million people in a park, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas and Little Big Town singing live. Food lines are too long so bring your own! We had a great spot by the water to watch the fireworks. It made me... More

We attended the July 4 Boston Pops show. This was our first chance to watch the Boston Pops live in concert and although it took a very long time to get through security for the show, it was worth it. The Boston Pops put on an excellent show!

A group of us were fortunate enough to enjoy the show last night at Symphony Hall entitled "The Golden Age of Broadway." It was a magical evening with wonderful songs both by the Chorus, orchestra as well as four very talented singers. These vocalists were Marin Mazzie, Laura Osnes, Jason Danielyey and Justin Hopkins. The songs chosen were varied and... More

Great first visit to the Boston Pops to hear the tribute to Carole King. The show was interactive and a musical delight. Found cheap tickets online. Wished we lived in Boston to go more often.

We went to a matinee of the Raiders concert. Basically, The Raiders of the Lost Ark movie played, and the Pops provided the music. Having the live music was not special enough for me to drive 2+ hours to Boston and pay a lot for a ticket. The music was right on cue, but often was overlapped by too-loud dialog... More

We very much enjoyed our first Boston Pops concert. As Brits we were however surprised that drinks and food were served throughout. We were unable to enjoy the first part of last nights concert as our concentration was continually disrupted by passing waiters and creaking floorboards. To us, this is very disrespectful of the artistes and I doubt Tchaikovsky would... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
