Who knew this classic from the late 70s would be SO relevant and empowering for today's audiences? The women who play Violet, DoraLee, and Judy were great. The director, Jerry, is obviously gifted. And Luke was more convincing than Dabney Coleman as the sexist, egotistical,...More

I've seen many shows at ACT and each one has been excellent. Community theater sometimes gets bad rap but the ACT is professional level and now that they've renovated their theatre the experience is even more satisfying. Asheville is such a center for the arts...More

Thoroughly enjoyed production of The Producers. Community Theater at it's best. The new seating is comfortable and the sound system made this a great musical. Would highly recommend.

So disappointed in the theater's new seats. 6 of us attended (4 over 6' tall) and all of us were uncomfortable. Seats are bolt upright and narrower than the worst coach seats on the worst airline! Really need replacing before I would ever attend another...More

I have attended quite a few productions at the Asheville Community Theatre and it's smaller stage space, 35below. All have been excellent. This community theater has existed since 1946, with Charlton Heston being its first director. Renovations have just been completed, including new seating and...More

As a disclaimer I should note that I have performed with ACT in the past. That being said, I am not an easy audience member. ACT's current production "The Producers" is amazing! Very high energy from start to finish. Great theatre at the highest level....More
