Beautiful gardens and many well-paved and well-marked trails for hours and hours of walks (if you wish!). Most of the trails are shaded which is important on sunny days. Do not miss!!

My husband and not yet two year old had a great time here! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained so it made 'hiking' with our toddler very easy. You could easily spend the whole day here but we spent about 4 hours.

Year-round, the arboretum is refreshing. The buildings are clean and well-kept. The exhibits are educational, fun hands-on experiences. The forest paths are well-marked and pleasant. The gardens feature a wide variety of local species.

Great food, friendly and accommodating servers. We had a dog in our party and the dog received some delicious smoked salmon! It would be nice if there was parking

This ended up being a surprisingly nice afternoon! The grounds were beautiful and the bonsai exhibit was really interesting. There were plenty of restrooms and benches. It looked like many of the areas were wheelchair accessible. I definitely recommend!

My husband and I enjoy the arboretum every time we visit Asheville. We originally stated coming with our dogs, but now with our toddler. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and it's very toddler friendly, as well as pet friendly. Beautiful spot for pictures too....More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Arboretum. It's a great place to spend an hour or so wandering the grounds and checking out some of the hiking paths. A must-see in Asheville!

Thanks for reaching out and we look forward to having you! All facilities will be open in April (including the Baker Exhibit Center). Most hiking trails are dirt/gravel and the gardens are wheelchair accessible.

Right now, the leaves in the Asheville area appear to be at their peak, so you won't go wrong anywhere you go. I-26 north of Asheville is pretty, as is I-74 and many of the side roads.
