I love the Biltmore however this was the first time we stayed on site and used the shuttle buses to get around. For those of you doing the same it is next to impossible to get the shuttle back from any stop except the house itself. We waited down by the gardens and after 2 buses came by that were... More

Worth the visit for sure but over priced. Sing in parking lot says no pets but beware walking the grounds as numerous people with dogs and what they leave behind.

Breathtaking! We will definitely return. We were glad we visited on a weekday. Can't imagine the crowds on a weekend.

We went here on a team building trip for work. We went through all the many rooms in and I was in off at the number of fireplaces there. They had 46 bathrooms. This is an over 135,000 square-foot privately own home, however the owners do not live here anymore. All the profits go to maintaining the property. I did... More

This really is a must see! Yes, this is pricey, but very much worth it. I booked our tour early to get the $10 break. I also took the advice of TripAdvisor reviewers and purchased the audio program. That made a big difference! Especially to my ten-year-old son. We toured the Biltmore in early April and spring was just springing.... More

Had my visit just been a tour the home, I would've been frustrated by the cost of admission, but the gardens and grounds are absolutely stunning. I'd go back again just to walk around outside. Olmstead's trademarks are everywhere and it seemed that he and Vanderbilt managed the land responsibly and respectfully.

We had been to Newport, Rhode Island to see the "summer cottages" and jumped at the chance to tour the Biltmore. It is a living, breathing piece of American history. Beautiful beyond words.Definitely recommend getting the earphones for the audio tour.
