Hauling our travel trailer up from Durango to Ouray, CO our destination is scary and tough. As an option driving back to Richmond, TX, I choose to drive across CO on US 50. Wow #1, this is a very easy drive even though you climb 2 times over 11,000 feet! The Gunnison River and the lake it forms are spectacular.... More

We traveled the Gunnison Route on the Harley while on vacation. This is a must do and see!!!. It is twisting beautiful road with sites to see. Excellent I would highly recommend.

Not too sure what the other review here is about, but the Gunnison Route is a hiking trail that leads from the visitor centre in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park dropping about 1800ft very quickly to the canyon floor and raging river below. We decided to take this route through CO on our motorcycle as part of our out west trip. Was it worth it!!! Amazing scenery and empty roads! If you're traveling by motorcycle there are plenty of hair-raising twisties and sharp drop offs to keep your heart pounding!
